Well if you bothered to read through earlier posts you would see that Nokia fanboys seem to be scared of SE and constantly post rubbish in here. You would also have noticed that some of the earlier O2 W810s had bugs which later firmware has fixed.
But then with comments like "they got till June 12th to deliver my Nokia N91 after many many FALSE promises
then i will cancel along with my entire family, we will simply move to another network and 02 will lose over £2000 per year.. " I think you're here for comedy value.

I've had this phone for a few weeks now and the battery life is brilliant. I wonder what some people mean by 'playing a few MP3s'. As to the volume thats not a problem I have encountered.
I do find it funny that most of the people who say they have bugs then talk about Nokias and no other make. Makes you wonder if it's not just more Nokia fanboys SE bashing.

ok personally i think this phone was just made because of sony continuous problems with the joystick i think they finally got the message it is nooooooo good it allways breaks mine is doing my heading i cant cope thats the only reason this phone was put on planet earth oh yes global warming will kill you so start praying

i've got the problem that the volume goes down from time to time that much, that i can hardly understand the caller!!??
anyone else with this problem?

Well that is true, it would be good though if you could listen to mp3 longer than you get!! I love the phone in everyway just this one problem,

why does everyone say the battery is brilliant? well its not!
it goes very quickly while using Walkman, making a few calls etc
im getting rod of this phone anyway
have Nokia N91 coming next week, and the battery isnt very good on that either, but hey you cant win them all

Is there anyway to make the battery last longer when using the mp3 walkman. It seems to go very quickly, i'm away on holiday next week and do not want to be lying on the beach knowing that my battery will die within hours or that i have to keep charging everyday.

hi everyone,this phone is perfect and im enjoy it but i have question that how can i increase volume of message alert because its very slow why? my old k750i is very louder in message alert (sms) thanks.

I dont see why people complain about the w810 not having a lens cover. The camera is still protected because it is indented and there's a glass protecting it. How hard is it to wipe the dust off? Besides, even with the dust, pictures still come out great.
Also, someone here mentioned that the w800 has volume control, well, so does the w810.

I am from South Afica Is there anyone from SA that have used the w810 before I have read the opinions of people saying they get allot of dropped calls Is it going to be a problem here aswell????

@808 I am currently using a very old model of sony ericsson the z600 I have used it for 2 years now and its the best phone I have ever had I want another ericsson but can't decide between the w810 and nokia n70 the n70 must be a better option because it has more feautures Any suggestions?

i recommend you w810. you can despreciate this one only because it have no lens cover.

'm thinking of getting one of these phones: W800, W810 or K750. They all seem to have something bad: W800-color, joystick(people say its bad), W810-No lens cover and K750-Worst media player, no flight mode and joystick. So, could you help me choose one?

I have been looking at this till my head hurts. As far as I can tell the k750 w800 w810 are almost the same phone. Of what I cared about here are the differences...
k750 does not startup in mp3 mode
k750 has cool backlight
w800 has volume control
w810 has better buttons
w810 has no lense protector
w810 firmware is better (maybe) (no idea)

hi does any one know how to put full lenght movies on to the w810i been trying to put a musico video on my pone but i can get it i can get it to play sound but now the video can any one help me

FYI, the update service now is avaialble for Austrlalian users. I did it this morning. Go www.sonyericsson.com.au and then find your way to the w810i software page. You can update the UpdateService application.
I installed it, followed the instructions and it upgraded my firmware. I didn't lose any settings or numbers.
The flashing light issue has been fixed (so far anyway), and it's too early to tell if the dropping calls issue is fixed yet.

i am conviced that this phone is the most complete phone i´ve ever seen, nobody can tell that there is better ones.
