Nice phone. But no camera cover. The addtions from 800i was Edge, 1000 contact, MPEG player etc... Comparing the price 800i was better

Announcement of W850 makes me confused over W810...How's the latest firmware of W810? Has all the problem already solved? Can't wait to have my W810 in the near future...

Trun the mobile so that the display faces you DADOK then you will be able to see the video and hear the sound as well ;-)

this phone seems to be about the same as the k750... only it has the walkman feature which costs $100 more on ebay. whats so good about this phone?

@ DADOK, yes Carbonize did post the info on how to update before you, but thanks to you too.
@ ian, previous problems such as the ones you've mentioned where most probably caused from previous firmware, now as mine was bought on the 12th of May from central London, works ^P^E^R^F^E^C^T^L^Y^ :o)
I'd like to point out some minor tweaks which I would really like to see in future updates (maybe)...
1.When I download an mp3 file in my memory stick, certain title characters are not read, especially in the WALKMAN section. Strangely though in the file manager, all characters are read perfectly, don't know why not in WALKMAN mode?!!
2.Would like to see also the song covers, as all my mp3 files have been edited having cd covers, just like ipods. Maybe I'm asking too much?
3.Also an update, as I personally do not like a blank screen mode to save battery life...unfortunately it looks as if the phone's switched off, but if the +- button is pressed, a digital clock appears on a white b/ground.
4.In bright sunlight (Sunny Malta, yup) the screen having 100% brightness settings, just ain't good in the sun!!! sorry
5.Better video recording quality would be an asset, but hey this is a phone after all, don't wanna be greedy! I already got a great phone, camera, walkman player, fm radio, webcam, voice recorder and a video camera!!! 7-in-1!!! What else do you want??! ;o)
But overall this phone is superb, even the style is outta this world! Cool and kinda charcoal black with metallic orange key.
Come on what you're waiting for...go and GET IT! Congrats SE!

Hi all... i need some info.
First of all i'm a Nokia user.. has been for almots 10 years.. Stupid of me to be brand loyal to such disapointing phones.. my last phone the 3230 was such an A$$, died right after the warranty peiod! WTF? Anyhow.. i need a new phone, and this one has really caught my eye. i mean i've always loved the aesthetics of SE so now i feel this would be the one!..
All i need to know is whether the themes for K750/W800 are compatible with this W810? i have some friends with both K750 and W800 and canget themes from them.. the SE themes rock btw..
And also how can i put in all my contacts from my old nokia 3230 (backed up in an CSV file)into the W810. Do i have to retype everything manualy into the phone?
Getting it this sunday.. I'm hoping this will be a great buy.. cant wait for K800, need a phone badly now..

hi, im from indonesia, it's easy you know, to upgrade your firmware, i have manage to do it..
it takes about a while (2 hours in Indonesia, coz the internet connection is so LAME) to download the program for W 810i, but takes around 7-8 minuites in upgrading your firmware system...
1. download the SE Update service from SE website.
2. then install it, run it and do as it says/told.
3. the fone is not being upgraded instantly, the SE Update Service Program detect your fone then it will download the new firmware to your computer first.
4. after download process complete, the programs ask you to re insert the fone..
5. well this time make no mistake! dont even touch the fone! takes around 8 minuites to complete installation..
6. when its done.. CONGRATS you have a new firmware!
all your old problems with the fone are gone (especialy the annoying blinking flash thing), no need to upgrade to newer version in the future (considering the risk)except there is a significant developed firmware (example, like better camera pixel, or something like that)

Hi, im having trouble with playing videos on my phone, ive tried converting avi to mp4 and 3gp, but it will only give me sound not picture, does anyone know wat program to use to make my phone play videos from the computer properly..... Very simple but powerful application. Very good especially for K700i model and below
where the mobile manager that comes with the phone..not good and slow. With this you
can download the pictures, images, videos very easy.Stable too.
Both can save your sms, even as html files or text. sent sms date is missing though
but with the No2 u can edit the date manually. With both.. U can also send sms via
your pc if you want too (if you hate thumb typing..:) ).
Just a very happy SE phone fan!
