I feel W810i, the ringtones volume is really slow compared to K750i. Is there any kind of solution to it?

the latest software in malaysia is CXC 1250317 R4CK003. Not too sure about australia though.

hey guys. what is the latest firmware version ? i'm running CXC1250316 R4CE012 000000. This is the Australian/Optus version of this phone.

If I do a "Search for Update" on the phone, it reports that I already am at the latest level, but I still get the flashing light and i think i drop calls very occasionally. (plus I can't delete songs from within the walkman menu)

I got the w810i too and its so awsome!!!! sharp pictures, uo to 2 gig memory! i got 2 movies on it!

far out boys! stop whinging abt sum bloody firmware. no phone is perfect, at least not yet. every phone has its advantage and disadvantages..so if u fink this phone sucks then dun buy it then. wuts the big deal?

i have the w810i- its awesome, but its not meant for US release yet, so its not compatable with a US GSM carrier yet. Dropped calls are happening to everyone- Cingular or Tmobile, apparently worse with Cingular because they merged with AT&T, and the SE 810i doesn't know how to communicate with AT&T towers yet. You can fix the dropped call issue yourself by flashing the phone, which is basically reinstalling the OS. it will cost about $12, don't make any mistakes, because it will be serious. go to www.howardforums.com and do a search on 810i. SE will flash the phone for you, but it will take weeks and they need a receipt to prove you bought it in the US. SE will not release any firmware updates for this phone until it is released in the US- maybe later this summer. Too long to wait for SE, so a few smart people have fixed the problem by writing a software download to flash your phone to another OS. Regarding the light, if it flashes when you're trying to take a photo, its on SOS mode. You can change it in the Organizer section. Regarding media files- it will accept all kinds, MP4, Mp3, WAV, etc. Regarding Sony memory sticks- its not a big deal. you can get a 2GB Sony Duo Pro card for $79 on sale at Frys. Other brands work with this phone too, and 2GB cards are quickly becoming less than $100, SE phones are brilliant!

Wow Viperchild you really really need to get a life. Yes a few people experienced bugs. A few people who got theirs from O2 online and received versions with an early version of the O2 firmware. So because O2 made a mistake in their branding of the phones you automatically declare that this phone is rubbish? The bugs were O2's mistake not Sony's. This phone has no bugs except those that O2 created and then fixed. Stop living in the past. Until you actually get one of these phones for yourself your opinions are pointless and based upon hearsay. Do you have one of these phones? No you do not.

1. In the last phones in the markte there is no problems. Even it have some problem,it's known and could be fixed free and easy trough USB with the Sonyercsson live upgrading trough the internet. Or trough the headset's internet directly upgrading and cleaning any problem.

2. The display has 262K colors (around ~262 000 colors) And it's TFT,slidely better and bigger than k750/w800's display.

3. In any feature the w810 is better than the x700. This is according to me.. Compare the two phones here in gsmarena.com and see the difference.. it's obvious i think.. ;) Reagards. :)

1 - There were a few bugs in early versions but current versions are fine and Sony have made it easy to update the phones software.

2 - The walkman screen is orange, every other screen is changable by themes or just wallpaper.

3 - Only you can answer that question.

Stereo Widening" is a system where you use two speakers, and you mix a little bit of 180 degrees out of phase audio from each channel into the other. This causes the sound to cancel out a bit in the middle and cause a slightly noticeable increase in the width of the sound field.

It doens't work on headphones and it requires two speakers to work. Since the W810i only has 1, it doesn't get stereo widening. Heck, it doesn't get stereo(in the loud speaker).

@Adrián You pay only internet trafic depending on your network. It can't be "free internet" for upgrading ;) But trough USB just get from your PC the latest install package for w810 and install it trough the usb. Trough the phone is extra feature for special situations and use:) But both are much more comfortable than most companies's phones

Most of the people after reading this will thing you are saying for the camera that it sucks.. So I don't put wors in your mouth! After FREE EASY upgrade all small problems is removed 100% ! So..

London - You CAN upgrade the phone trough the heandset with the new software and special menu for that in the phone. Also you can free upgrade it trough the usb and etc... All that is written in the good reviews of the phone. No any money about upgrade in service.. This works 100% and 100% FREE and so easy:)

does any1 know if the w810 plays music up to 30hours when its switched off, just like the w900 and w800??????? sum1 answer me pls cause if not then i wont bother gettin it. sum1 PLS reply

Will you lot stop whinging on abou tbugs that plagued A FEW early versions that had the O2 firmware. Yes a FEW that got flashed with the O2 firmware had bugs but these were quickly patched. I, and many many others, have this phone with no, I repeat NO, bugs.

I do love how Viperkid goes on that this phone is buggy and yet keeps whinging that all the reviews that said the nokia was bad were done using an early firmware. Well I suggest he makes up his mind. According to him it's ok for Nokias early firmware to be buggy but not SonyEricssons. Sheesh get a life.
