SE W810 is rubbish
Nokia 3250 is a better alternative.
lets be realistic here, i've read all the SE W810 reviews and what i see as a motif is the problems the phone is having and the promises that the firmware upgrade will solve the problem.....im sure it will
and when i read the reviews of the nokia, i see people saying that they love the phone and very rarely i see them complaining about it and in some instances some have compared both phones together and found the nokia better in every way...dont believe me see for yourself.
ohh one more thing, carbonize your obviously wrong people do care what viperkid says because his information is accurate and i have made sure of that and that is what the forum is about people ask questions and people answers truthfully which is what he is doing...and im sure i would and everyone else would like to see you post on the 3250 forum why the SE W810 is better since it is not.

Mine is CXC1250316 R4CE012 and it also blinks after turning on the light. I asked our local SE and accdg to them, the sw upgrade over the air is not yet functional here. What should I do?

If you really whant a good mp3 player and camera phone get a w810 and battery
it,S A BETTER MUSIC PHONE THAN THE N70 3h of batery life time compated to 8h.
eaven if the w810 is not symbian i thinks it beats the n70 pretty quickly plus it'S quadband the sound is loud it's a good quality headphones soubd volume is dominant powerfull and good buy

Adrian what software version is your phone running?
Mani go to a shop and ask them to let you look at them both. Thats what I usually do.

can some1 pla tell me how is the ringtone volume of this phone and is it better than nokia n70? tomorow i m goin to buy 1 of those so plz some1 help me chosing the phone and if any1 can tell me howz the music player of n70??thxxx alot

I think they misunderstood you. Tell them, or better yet, show them that upon turning on the light, it starts blinking after a few seconds. This is a minor glitch and Im sure can easily be fixed by a sw upgrade which I hope will come out soon.

I mailed Sony Ericsson for the flashing camera, they say it is a "function" opf the phone, that the flash is supposed to be flashing.... WTF!! some respect for the customer, please!! SE..

is there a way to download the PC software for this phone to Windows 98 PC. I want to transfer photos to the PC. The problem is, I got an excellent phone but i'm using lousy PC... any advice ???

For those who do not want part of the message to be posted on the new message screen for privacy, you can select the popup option in Settings>General>New Event>popup. The default setting is activity menu, w/c is why part of the message is posted.

Hi - i had both these phones up MAXIMUM volume, just not loud enough, and i used the supplied earphones which are excellent
i just want it louder
i know these nothing wrong with my hearing, i had my ears tested for my job 2 weeks ago, and i have exceptional hearing
maybe when i get a firmware upgrade, volume will improve? thoughts?

Can't say my phones quiet. I can't even use full volume with the ear phones as it's just to loud then. I assume you did turn the volume up and were using headphones?

Hi everyone
Ok - i recieved my 2nd Sony Ericsson W810i today, i sent the 1st one back because of the camera light flashing! and the 2nd one is still doing it!
i have 14 days to hope that SE bring out their firmware upgrade, then we can all update it from the fone i think?
also, it looks like its not just me complaining about the Maximum Volume Output of this phone, i just put 14 albums onto it at 320kbps, the quality is just incredible, but its not loud enough!
i dont want to sit there for hours "tweaking" mp3`s with software to make them louder! i want it to work from the start!
apart from that i am very very happy with it, still annoyed with the flashing camera light... the rest of the phone is great
excellent display, assigning individual ringtones and pictures to different callers in your phonebook is really good aswell, you cant do that on the Nokia N91!
im going to try the N91 when it comes out, im curious to hear the sound quality and output volume compared to the W810i
anyone having same probs as me?

I just bought the w810 and compared to the
k750 and w800 which i both had is much better! the screen is excellent more live colors and the microprone is louder when your listening from the phone which the other two were not that loud! also the joystick jams on the other two! so i think the w810 is more advanced.

You compare your phones everyday? Wow now that is sad. Take the hint, nobody here cares what you have to say as you are nothing but a Nokia Troll. Maybe we should all go posting on the Nokia opinion about how we think the W810i is the better phone. Your 'cousin' has one of the few that had bugs so you announce to the world that all are bad.

@mitsarakos you are quite safe. There are no viruses out there that can infect mobile phones except those that use the Symbian OS.

The W810i is simply the best. Even by SE standards this phone is awesome. Great walkman, 2mp camera, superb screen, long battery life, what more can u ask for?

I downloaded today the opera mini,to my mobile phone w810.I tried it,and it works perfect.However,I am afraid to use it,because I don't know how secure it can be,to be connected in internet with a mobile without an antivirus program.Does anybody know (please only if you are sure) if there is a possibility to be infected by a virus (and so to destroy my mobile,oh god no)? Dit any problem happen to anybodys mobile? And what should I do in such a case? Please help me.Thank you in advance for your assistance.

wat's d point of being angry, wen u admit things like a few people experience bugs?! ur juz to DEFENSIVE! ok, look at ur present there are COMPLAINTS again! i may not have W810, but my cousin has one and she's juz 30 feet away we always compared my phone with her W810 everyday! is dat wat u call hearsay?

@HMM - Turn the master volume up. Play a song or ringtone then use the side volume button to turn it up.

hey ppl...i wanted to know whether i can play .wma format songs on a w-series phone=/
