i just bought this phone earlier, so excited to test its performance, it's a very good phone but one thing i could possibly assure you that when i view some pictures by series when you're in a camera mode, it reads for 2-3 seconds. and when you delete a picture in a 'camera pictures' folder environment in a 'view' mode, you would notice that it's still there when you go back to the thumbnailed photos. maybe the programmer forgot to set a refresh code for it unless you press the 'go back arrow' and re-open the 'camera pictures' folder but all and all it's a very good fone.. i love sony ericsson but i will buy N80 soon hehe..:-)

Yes, the fm transmitter will play my MP3 songs onto a FM band in my radio. it works pretty well.

it will also play an incoming call, so it kinda acts like a handsfree speakerphone. clearer than using the built in speaker

Nah, I like the candybar type, not the swivel one. Moving parts tend to loosen after a while. Id stick w/ my W810i.

I see, thanks sergio. If you have an auxilliary plug in your car radio, you dont need an FM transmitter. You just need an auxilliary cable and you can plug it in like an iPod.

                          Mick from Oz:

Why did you buy an FM Transmitter? The W810i has built in FM player already

I looked at getting the FM transmitter for the w810i but all the research indicated that it was a lemon. ie very poor transmitting power and almost unusable. In fact, the common consensus seemed to be that most fm transmitters were pretty iffy in general and the only way to get half decent performance was to have one that was externally powered (ie 12v cigarette lighter adapter)

Subsequently, I looked on ebay and thought I'd take a punt on cheaper one than the expensive Sony one. If it didn't work then I haven't spent too much, but it seemed the sony one was expensive considering the poor reviews.

I bought one that was CE approved for about $25AUD shipped. I am pleasantly surprised at how well it works. I still get the odd interference, but 95% of the time it's clear. (this is with the 12v adapter plugged in), If I just rely on the 2xAAA batteries, then the performance is terrible. It doesn't sound quite as good as normal FM reception and not as good as a CD obviously, but still very listenable.

It doesn't have 3G because it's not a 3G phone. All 3G phones are ugly in my opinion.

As to the FM transmitter question yes you can buy one that plugs into the bottom. It's called the FN Nusic Transmitter MMR-60 but it does say LIMITED MARKET AVAILABILITY.

First time i saw this phone on the net, i was amazed with its features, but there's one thing missing the 3G. Why SE dose'nt include this feature on to this phone? and is it really has a FM Transmitter?

Yes you can change the shutter sound or turn it off.

As to themes etc you can get them from the sonyericsson site.
