Can anyone recommend some good, cheap replacement headphones as the ones that come with the W810i are completely useless!
Tried all three sizes and they all fall out! Look cool though.

I had been phoning up a few times during the last 2 weeks, and had been told to phone back a few days later each time. This time though, the bloke said the phone wasn't in - but he could pre-order it for me (previously they've said they couldn't pre-order). He said it'll be sent to me on the 4th of April. I'm an online O2 customer, and I phoned 08706 007 102 - option 2 then option 3. I phoned up at about 7pm, so I don't know if the night shift are a bit more usefull than the day shift (not that there was anything wrong with them). Hope this helps.

Some people from the USA have asked why us silly people are trying to get a phone from O2 - well it's because it's a contract and it's an upgrade - so it's cheap.
If ordering this phone from O2 as an upgrade, I have managed to place my order now (on 31st March). They wanted to charge me £99.99 though! After a bit of complaining, this came down to £49.99 - still a bit rude I think since I've been with them about 3 years, pushing about £800 their way in monthly bills, and they give the phone to new customers for free. But anyways, if they ask for £100, argue a bit and it should come down. :o)

this phone should have an 8.2 or more for its features because it has more features than the k750 which has an 8.2 right now..

i havent timed or tested the battery life but i'm sure it lasts longer than the k750 because it also has music mode, which saves battery life by turning off the phone functions. also it should last longer than the w800 because there's a light sensor which turns off/down the key and screen lights in various lighting conditions.
i notice that if in a bright room the keypad backlight is off, then when i place my finger over the light sensor, which is at the top right of the display next to the earspeaker, the keypad backlight lights up right away, so it's really active in working to save battery life..
and yes i'm a music freak..
ill admit it,
im also a freak with my lady too.. hehe

Anyone know how long the battery lasts in MP3 playback?
I'm guessing its just a bit lower than the W800, but just want confirmation.

all the k750, w800, and w810 phones are all similar in functions, but the main differences are the looks/designs on the outside, which is what sold me on the w810i, it looks GREAT!
there are little differences between the k750 and w800/w810 phones being the w series is walkman dedicated with a BETTER integrated walkman player. the w810i seems to be better designed by the three center circular control buttons, as the joystick broke down on my k750 after about a year's use and abuse. music playback is stopped in the k750 when you try to go into a different playlist or close the player by pressing the back button without 'minimizing' the player, as with my w810 i'm not used to stopping playback by pressing the play/pause button on the top left side of the phone or by pressing 'stop' in the walkman player itself, though im glad to get used to this compared with the k750. and another big difference with the w810 to the w800/k750 is that is has EDGE, giving you high speed connectivity, though i don't use that at all nowadays. AND the camera in the w810 seems to give you more options such as fine/normal resolution (like in cybershot cameras), and different ways to view your images (2x2, 3x3, thumbnail detail list, or just a list without thumbnails).
if you are trying to get the most out of your money and don't mind the trickiness of a regular media player, go for the k750, but if you are a music/media freak like me who has good taste, go for the w810, because this one hands down looks and performs better than the k750 or w800, and would probably last longer considering the joystick will break down. i find that i have more control with these extra buttons. the w800 has the walkman button replacing the applications button, but on the w810i there are both buttons, which are both widely used.
it is just unfortunate that the w810i, having just came out on the market has little issues with the current firmware, i emailed sony ericsson about the standby clock and they said that all their phones have it and are not sure how to address this issue with me and just gave me a number to call, so ima call and follow up on that because i can see the clock when i press the walkman button, but there is just a blank nothing when i dont press anything, which is a shame, but im sure this will get resolved. also my shortcuts (left,up,down, right) are not getting saved after i turn the phone off and on back again. hopefully this gets resolved soon too.
BATTERY COVERS:
i must admit the BATTERY COVERS on these phones are hard to take off, i felt like i was breaking my k750 to take off the battery cover, but it does come off if you press upwards and in on both edges of the cover with the phone upsidedown, it unhooks and slides off like that.
