Let me tell you one thing that you all ignore (i guess). In Argentina (my country) and in other countries we use mostly the 850 frequency in more that half the country, so the w800 is a waste of money if you dont live in the capital. The 810 is a reaaaly NICE thing because it has 850 and EDGE. The only bad thing is that it does endeed have less internal memory but it is a small amount since oyu have the 512 MS i think.

One thing i want to know is if the 810 has some improvements in ther video camera mode because is one thing the w800 lacks in detail.

      Bye

I do not know whether that W810 is better than W800 or not. I have experienced with W800 that the sound of it not too good, less noise than W550, and I am now trying to get a louder speakers with large memory mobile phone.Could anyone tell me about W810.

          Thankx

I prefer this phone over the w800, since this one has USB 2.0, and since it doesn't have the bad quality joystick used in the models k700-w800.

superb design. great features... but NOT better than w800i for three reasons:

              1. small internal memory (20mb) vs w800i's (34mb)
              2. same UI as w800i (it's a total waste of money if you already have a w800i) and;
              3. no camera shutter!

which is a major turn off of buying this phone.

I think thw W810 and the W800 are very close in comparrison. They are both fantastic phones and both probably the best brought out in the walkman range from Sony Ericsson! The W810 slightly wins it for me, one for the look (it's gorgeous, especially in black) and two its the first walkman phone with EDGE! All round Sony Ericsson should be very happy with this phone.

I've heard it's been released in the last week of March! (so my suppliers from work say!)

phoned Orange (UK) at the weekend - they've no plans to do W810i nor any other SE phone in the near future ... boo hiss! so reading a few other posts i just want to clarify - essentially there's no difference 'tween 800i and 810i except: 810 looks better by miles, 800's camera better, edge or not edge (doesn't concern me) - apart from that no discernable difference at all, is there ...?

Thats true.... It has version 1.2 bluetooth... Is there a big difference between a version 2.0 and a version 1.2?

Xi-Fi, W800 and W810 are NOT the same. Look carefully at the comparison. W800 has some slightly better things than the W810, and the W810 has slightly better things than the W800, including new firmware

W800 and W810 are the SAME.

The difference is what the K500i and K508i had in them ... its just a change of look thats all. People didnt like the White and orange thingy ... black is the IN colour!

One very important question please answer me only IF you hav had personal experience.

Does this sound better than an IPOD ? Ive got an Ipod Mini 4GB. I recently sold my 6101 so now I need to get something ... I was thinking of this thing ... how good is the audio reproduction compared to an Ipod. Keeping in mind I listen to my Ipod not only through the earphones but also in car (via Aux-in cable or cassete adaptor).

The additional speakerfone plus 2MP camera is attracting me.
