Does the fact that YOU prefer the W800 mean that nobody else is allowed their own opinion? Just because YOUR opinion is that the W800 looks better, that gives you no right to tell everyone else to open their eyes! Did you ever consider that not every human being on earth thinks the same way as you and has the same tastes? Very self-important and egotistical.
And if your gonna make these demand, at least have accurate info to back it up - you say anyone who finds EDGE useful would be better served with a smartphone. Why? Smartphones do not necessarily have a better transfer rate. For example, The Nokia 3230 smartphone gives a transfer rate of 118.4kbps, whereas this, the W810 offers 236.8kbps. W810 is clearly far better in that respect. And incidentally, they both utilise EDGE..... The Nokia 6260 is also a smartphone, this doesn't even have EDGE and offers pitiful tranfer rate of just 24-36kbps..... So your "advice" to get a smartphone instead of this just because you find EDGE useful makes no sense whatsoever. And why you also felt the need to advise people to use 02 if they want EDGE completely baffles me. Whats that about?
You may not like this phone, but giving incorrect, misleading information solely to put people off it is unfair. Let them make up their own minds based on accurate information, not total nonsense.

Open your eyes, people! I think w800 design is cooler than w810
- Front Design of w800i, esp the top glass area is nicer.
- Back design of w810 is nice; but.. it seriously lacks a cover for the lens, an important consideration
- ok, black or white is subjective and w810 comes in both.. but w800's orange/white stands out more!
Occasional use of gprs/mms enough for me so I dun need Edge; those who find it very useful would probably be better served with a smartphone or O2.

Why? Thats all I have to say. This phone is a mix of K750 and W800. No need to buy this phone... SonyEricsson should have added UMTS to this phone!

How can u say the features are great? this fone isnt even out yet and it is almost identical to the k750i, except for EDGE and a bigger memory card(which u can upgrade anyway). It doesnt even look that different!

Thanks, ken2.5 for your notice. You're right, don't trust the rumers at the first sight. It MIGHT be fake. BTW the specifications are great. May be the standard features in the future phone.

ARCH- according to all other webpages where i've seen that photo, that phone will never truly exist. some say it is a mock up by people anticipating the new look/design of the w810. some say it is a set of pictures set to make sure if there were leaked pictures of the w810 that it would be fake. only a few say it could be a fuuture phone but they say it would only come round christmas(w810 is that last walkman phone for a while)

bill i said 3.5 mm not inches. but if you think that i meant 3.5mm then you are mistaken, bcos it also came with the w800 and w900

there are several key differences between this and the w800i. the quad band support is huge for those of us in north america and the addition of a 3.5" headphone jack instead of that silly sony one is pretty key as well.
this phone has every feature im looking for and rectifies the few flaws i saw in the w800i. i, for one, cant wait for it to be released

w800 fan and TO ALL- w810 like the w900, like the w800 comes with the adaapter with the 3.5mm headphone jack. on that same adapter you will find the remote control, which also serves as the radio receiver
Ian Chow- you can put them on . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . BUT they wont play
Deany- this phone is a filler. phone. it fills the gap in the market, fixes things that did not work so well last time, and brings in more money, for developers.
Sony- either 1: contact a SE factory/offices to make personalized mass production deal
2: contact cingular or t-mobile to organize a mass purchase deal
3:contact Sony seller, and see what deal he can make you

ALEX SILVER- price is an obvious. it will be the same start up price as the w800+25-50 GBP. it should be on slae by week2/3 of march
JH- with this phone i agree. let's hope that others realise there is no need to get rid of their w800/k750 to get this phone. UNLESS they have a money back guarantee.
iLVx- doubtful unless 1HF, 1MF, i LF(f=frequency). video quality should not be the smae as w90. but close

why do the keep relesing the same phone with different covers a slghtly better screen and call it a new phone it eaven has less internal memory than the w800 and it will have a more heftyer price tag to.
