guys help me out here pls....
my phone suddenly restarted out of no where...
i was playing music when it restarted...
the bad thing is that my phone are not starting normally..
the display is gone,only light...
i waited for an hour,hoping for my phone to booth right..
nothing happend....i tried everything....
help me pls.....

no dude u r wrong..i own a nokia 6230i and this w850 i prefer 6230i becuase it has got a better menu and better buttons ...w850is keypad is crap the menu is to simple and white...the walkman button always gets pressed in my pocket..the build quality is shabby on w850i...all those problems i have had with it...my 6230i is much better..back to Nokia 4 me..and staying with nokia
4get this all the problems i dnt care....sonyerricson are the best...SE are the BEST!!!!!! no matter what...

I am planning to buy W850 and went to the store to ask about the mobile features. Since this person using W850 himself after a few months and he said that he's not happy with this phone coz he has problem with the slide that now become lose and the sound quality now turns into a broken sound on the speaker. He recommends me to get W810 instead. Now I am hesitate whether I should buy this type. Does anyone of you who owns W850 ever had problem with the slide and the sound quality so far? Thanx for your input...

cant help but notice some posts on all high end ericsson phones advertising that crappy nokia phones. boy he's desperate... anyway this goes to prove that ericsson phones has has reached its pinnacle and now ready to leave nokia behind.

i would like to know what the specs is on the cam.it's being advertised on the brochure as 1=435mm 1.4.0 x digital zoom and my phone says 1=3.86mm 2.5 x digital zoom.the keys are also different . i have a make and recieve call buttonno activity key besides the activity key serves no purpose,it just exits out of any menu. w/cape sa

@Rupe.. You totally WRONG....i never used Sony ericcson before. im not really satisfied with this phone, but if you compare with nokia, ithink this phone totally better than nokia. I already compare it with N73, and N73 is totally CRAP BAG!!!! reject item i think, to much hang, and very slow. And FYI, N73 is more expensive than w850...also, nokia design is crap. almost all thing about nokia is crap. just look at their design.....

i think it is a very good phone but also very bad as you cannot get it on pay as you go.

I think this phone is rubbish compared with Nokia! Lousy battery life, poor keypad lock causes "pocket" calls! You have to use "end call" because closing the phone does not end the call. Very inferior software - transfer of Contacts from Outlook doesn't work properly meaning each contact has to be individually transferred. Contacts cannot be listed as "Last,First" without corrupting Company names eg. "Marks & Spencer Ltd" is listed under L not M as "Ltd, Marks & Spencer".

yeah, i already adjust it, but it doesnt change much when i use the speaker. the equaliser works well only with earphone.
i think w850 speaker is more compatible with slow song. the phone doesn't do the job very good when playing rock or hip hop song. im playing "in da club" song with maximal volume, and the sound is not clear, and sometimes hurt my ear. different with my old rokr- playing the song perfectly with some vibrate...
but in the other hand, i like "the mute sensation" of the earphone. i think the earphone is very good.
anyway, any body noticed that sometimes theres some strange code like F4:1245, F4:4364 and other F4***? what is that?.
NB: this phone is very thick. twice thicker more than SLVR L7. but it doesnt matter, w850 design is futuristic. better than rokr..

yes .this w850i is compatible with all the new high memory stick duo pro ..it works with 4GB,8GB,and even 16GB when it comes out....it says nothing on the specifitcations page of this phone..wat it goes up to.....iv seen it in a website..that W850i will be compatible with all the new.big size MEMORY STICK PRO DUO..

I think the 850 is only upgradable to 4GB.
