my w850 cannot play music with aac format, does anyone have the same problem, because this phone is suppose to be capable of playing music in this format

I set the brightness of my celphone to 50% and even 80%, the problem is that frequesntly on some screen "it flickers". Is that normal? Is it because the brightness is not 100% ?

izit true tat da white colour wil fade to yellowish after some times..??

manual lock is on the power button (top of the phone). you have to press it for just a short time though or else you will turn the phone off ;).
does anyone know how to activate the netmonitor on this phone?

hey guys isn't ther side key for play or pause when on standby or when phone is locked? if not then sony ericsson can make a firmware upgrade to make the big play button or one of the multimedia buttons to do this job ? this would be a very appreciated firmware

i love the phone so much just!!! got it almost 3 weeks ago here in manila. i have been using SE phones for almost a year already got the se k750i- the best 2megapixel phone that i had w/ zoom and my first 3g phone k600i well good phone but bad keypads and lacks external memory. by the way if i can rate the se w850i ala gsm arena type, here are my opinions...
good:
-stylish handset
-huge qvga screen
-nice lower keypads for texting
-good lodspeaker
-fantastic gui- interface/menu
-cool themes
-you can use standard earphones from your old walkman radios
bad:
-i'm being bothered by the light censor, is there a way to deactivate it?
-no manual key lock, slider is used to activate lock
-i'm worried about the slider mechanism in the long run,it has the tendency to get loose
-very bad navigation keypad
-no digital zoom when using 2/1 mp camera resolution, too bad!!!
-low resolution video recorder
well i hope i get to help any potential buyers. and by the way just one question is the 1gb memory card standard or country and market dependent. i got mine w/ only 512mb

i just got this phone a few weeks ago and i relize that theres no zoom on camera. is that normal or is it just my phone CAN ANYONE PLS GET BACK TO ME AS SOON AS POSSIBLE!!!!!!!

i think this may be quite common to many: is there an option or setting that u can set to in order to exit each application when closing the phone? i thought that is the very basic function for most slider phones in the market? even Samsung's D900 does that, LG's KG800 chocolate, Nokia's 6288 and 5300..
it would be quite sad if SE w850 cant do basic thing like that..
if anyone knows this, please help! thanks!

TO SONY
The music can still be played with the slide in the down position. I have no probs with any slack in the slider. If you treat things with respect they shouldn't break!This phone is excellent.

w900 loudest walkman phone...!!!
i hs compared it.
if i can give a mark.i give
w850 loud speaker has only 70percent
and w900 loudspeaker 100 percent!!!!
yes..of course w550 has 3d sound.but w900 speaker much better.and a true walkman phone ever!!!!!

angela. its 4" closed & 5 half" opened, 3/4" thick when closed, hope this helps.

hi guys, i just got this phone recently and when sliding it up, there is a grey screen that appears for a few seconds, is anyone else getting this? and there is a delay in getting to the screen??? can someone suggest a good way to look after the slide as it feels very delicate, thanks

isn't there any plans from sony ericsson to release a firmware to increase the brightness of the display to be like k800.a step like this would be great
