Hi for me there are no better phones than the w550i & my new baby the w850i, i have tried & tested alot of phones looking for the perfect phone & it looks like i might at long last found them, think the w850i wins by a fraction. I'll give the w850i 9/10

can anybody tell me the difference between having an autofocus camera like the w800/w810 and no autofocus like the w850???

for ur info....i think ur rite...y buy a fon tat is expensive n not rili use up all its function...wel for now for wat is da best choice wil be w850....if in da future i rili need a fon wit function tat i can use then i can change to w900..who know mayb by tat time da price went down....

i am considering buying this fone but it looks from pics in the review that its not pure black ,it appears to be grey/charcoal is it grey or it is the light effect because
i want it black black black as the black in w

To transfer songs, you use software called Disc2phone. It just transfers the songs to the phone. It comes with the phone on CD.

Hi, upgrading soon and like the look of the W850i
Not really into phones, but have a motorola pink raz thingy at the mo and think I must be the only person who has had no probs with it!! Now, I want a walkman phone. Can I put my existing music onto it or do I have to buy those itune things? Sorry, but its all new to me, my mini disc broke.....hahaha yes mini disc, dont have an mp3...no point mini disc still worked...instead of mp3 may as well get a phone, one less thing to carry!!! Thanks......

Good day folks

I see all the disputing amongst the different models of phones and the capabilities of the phones which frankly i feel is very childish of all of you. If you all know phones that well then you would know that phones are manufactured to target a specific market which simply means that there is a phone on the market best suited for every one of you.

So if you do not like the features on a specific phone like the W850, keep your opinions to yourself and look for the phone best suited for you and if you do not find the handset with all the features you are looking for then tough luck, you cant always have everything you want.

In conclusion guys, lets not fight about minial things like phones features because everybody is entitled to their own opinion. So go out there and look for the perfect phone best suited for YOU.

it really depends what you're into.
the w900i is more of a smartphone of sorts. read the review.

so if you don;t see yourself utilizing the phones function then obviously its not worth while getting it just because its the latest and best.

the w850 is ideally a walkman cum mp3 player phone while the w900 is more business oriented. kinda like a pda. so in closing if you're intending to use it more for music listening then get the w850. if you;re using it for more than just music listening i.e. assist you in day-to-day jobs etc then get the w900 or similar

now to my question. what does registering the phone to sony ericsson do? i remembered reading somewhere in this forum that it might not be such a good idea. can somebody enlighten this for me?

sorry i m not answering abut the ur first question, n70 is more cheaper than se w850.At my point of view i more preffered w850 becauze of it sounded well than n70.I m a great fond of music.as well as i owned n91 also,which is a greatest music phone forever. Make ur right choice body. have a nice time.

Hey AGC i agree with you but i juz wanna be sure of One thing please , the video clips 3gp QVGA does it works fine without any laggin ? i mean like big ones ? 20 MB or so ?? even a full movie ? how is it ? im havin the Samsung D900 and i can run a whole movie 300MB+ without any prob and it has a Gr8 screen for that u know , but i have one problem with it which is the size its too wide for me and i prefer the shape and thickness of the w850 like ma old D600 i guess it fits ma hands betta and quite balancin Beside the Speaker is better than the D900 also , anyway juz tell me to be sure before i go for it please , thanks !:D

I go through phones too quickly, usually switching every 2 weeks or so, which is a very expensive habit. I have been addicted to Sony Ericssons walkman line of phones for over a year now and have owned every single one except the w950. I am also proud to say that I have not purchased a phone in the last 3 months, because the last phone I bought was the w850. This IS the best phone I've ever had, without a doubt. As for the skeptics and questions >>> The sliding mechanism is SOLID, and wears down very very little if at all. I have owned 6 samsung slidersas well and I honestly believe the w850's is better. As for the lack of autofocus and macro...yeah it sucks, especially after the glory days of the k750/w800/w810/w900 cameras...man those were nice. But the camera IS still 2 megapixel and takes wonderful pictures, better than nokia's 6270/6280. Some have asked about differences between w800/810 and the w850. The w850's software is quite updated and works very very well. The screen resolution has been increased and it shows. It can REALLY REALLY multitask well without lagging, even with a big memory card in. It has A2DP (stereo bluetooth profile) for listening to your music wirelessly. But possibly the best thing about the phone is its battery life!!! I use it for about 30-40 minutes of calls a day, 30 minutes of music, some internet and many many texts, and I put it on flight mode when I go to sleep at night. I get 5-6 days of battery life this way! Its AMAZING!!! Also one last difference from w800/810 >>> The w850's flight mode is NOT the same as the old walkman mode. With the old walkman mode, you could ONLY listen to music, which is ok. But with the w850's flight mode you can literally use every function of the phone, including the camera, while still saving battery life! Anyway, sorry this is so long, but I love the phone and I really do recommend it to anyone, ESPECIALLY NOKIA FANS. Just give it a try...you wont go back.

where's your brain? you are looking on sony ericsson's phones and not nokia alright? Do you expect this to be nokia in a sony ericsson page?

and to you joey:
if you are looking for autofocus and macromode, you might as well just buy digital camera and not the cellphone with a camera on it. better yet, invent your own cellphone that has all the features you want.can you do that??????????????
