Hi all,

well done GSMArena with all the video demo'ing the phones, really gets a feel for it.

Great fone, with all the features etc etc. My only grudge is that the phone doesnt have the auto-focus lens like the k750i does....

If it had that i would of gone out and bought one straight away...

I just hope they release one that has auto-focus (even if its still on 2mp) cos i find it very useful. I also hope they do it b4 my k750i dies....

cheers

        To Endy,

Yup. If u use it den turn on da 3G. To turn it off: Goto Setting > Connectivity > mobile networks > GSM/3G network > Tick GSM only

Tis will help you to turn off ur 3G.

        Try It!

          To ROME,

W850 is come with memory stick, so no ned worry about lack of memory space.

Yup, the camera doesn't hv auto focus but it's already done 2MP job.

If you ned higher quality function as a camera, den try to look for K800

          Overall, tis phone was great!

greetings to all! I would just like to know how the video ring tone works? I already assigned a video for my ring tone, but when I tried it, the default tone was being used. Thanks

I still considering getting this phone by end of this month.. can someone help me so dat i can make up my mind about getting this phone?

My question is, i kinda try this phone at a phone shop b4, and the camera works exactly fine.. wondering why some ppl post up comments saying this phone sux for its camera. I need help here.

Definately, there's no doubt this phone is the coolest walkman on the market today besides w900i. Not to mention is slide :D

I really love the design and I think this is a very good phone. The only drawbacks would be lack of internal memory (only 16mb) and no auto focus in camera?

                        Hello,

It looks like a good phone, with many nice functions. The Walkman 2.0 is a great improvement from the now “old” W800, but still there are some drawbacks, especially with the camera. I suspect people want a "W" with a camera like K800 and the functions of W850. In addition, the slider design my not be the best choice.

The prices of "W"s usually do not fall by much (except in the first 2 months). Not to mention that the quality/price ratio is still very good as with most SE phones, although lately, Nokia has been working on improving quality/price ratio too.

My advice... before buying a phone do some research, try different phones from different manufacturers, sometimes the phone with the latest technology may not be the best suited for you. (Try to “make the best rational choice”).

Hi! I'm in Australia, and I'm still deciding between this phone and the W950i. I like the fact this one is expandable and has a camera, but like the appearance of the W950i with the 4GB flash memory. Does anyone have any opinion to help me with this choice?

i work for a phone retailer and this phone is a nice slider, but the features of it is just like the w800i and the w810i, sony have unfortunaly havent done very must with the software in the walkman phones...if you like this phone i would suggest looking at the sony ericsson k800i as it is a nice looking phone and have a 3.2 mega pixel camera and now comes in a nice gun metal silver for the new james bond film *nov 17th* the k800i has a mp3 player but isnt walkman branded.....

You can find your ringtones by going to MENU. SETTINGS. SOUNDS & ALERTS. Then scroll down to RINGTONE, select Ringtones, and you should have a few to choose from. Of course, you can always put your own on from your CD collection!!!!

This is my 1st Sony Ericsson mobile so I'm afraid I can't compare it with other SE's. As far as I'm concerned, the music, sound quality is absolutely brilliant and I find the headset very good. I've put my settings onto Mega Bass and it's very good to me. Have you tried different ear phones to see whether yours are faulty? Good luck.
