i have been using W850 for two weeks i found the sound quality is great but for camera is sucks. In korea, SEK800 3.2 mp already lost to a big time whereas W850 omly 2.0 mp is a real goner

hi to all,
can someone please help me ........
i have just got this phone as an upgrade.have not had the chance to really experiment with it .but i have only one ring tone on it ,,,which is "cosmic"
are there not more standard tones on the phone .if YES then where can i find them on the phone ...or can anyone tell me a site where i can d'load more standard (free)traditional ringtones from .

To random,
I think W850 would be uncomfortable to you ,I used my friend's S700 for some time which had the same design as this ,and it was uncomfortable .I suggest considering W810(EDGE,2 m.p cam) or W950i(4GB memory, no camera)

Sony Ericsson W850i. It's ACE! i got it like 4weeks ago, and its da best phone eva, really good sound, great features, video ringtones everything! yea it may not have a great camera compare to phones like the k800i is it?:S cant remmber(cybershot phone) but if u look into detail like that, the k800i is crap compared to fones in South Korea cuz they have fones that go upto 8mega pixel!!!!!!! i mean da k800i is onli 3.2! new3ay just sayin agen, the w850i is ace!

picture and video quality of this phone is very bad, very old technology, just like z800i, may be a bit worst

I'm considering purchasing this phone in the very immediate future. I like Sony, ever since I got my current phone. Had a Nokia before that. I'm not comfortable with sliders or flips, but I'm willing to try. Any opinions?

thanx so much for the help deb.have you also noticed dat the sound quality rom the w850 head phones is very low compared to the 800,810,550,900 etc.am sure its not about my ears.why should the sound b poor on this good phone?

Has anyone experienced this problem, I am unable to set the recurrent alarm. It worked ok for the 1st two weeks of me using it and now it will not register at all even though I tick the Monday to Friday boxes and save etc. If I want to set a once off alarm it works ok, it's just the recurrent alarm that won't work. Any suggestions please?

TO ABDUL
You can turn off the 3G to save battery time by going to MENU, CONNECTIVITY, MOBILE NETWORKS,then onto GSM/3G NETWORKS and select GSM only. It does help to prolong the battery life.

Can anyone tell me how to import album artwork into the walkman music player, Being a bit of a muso this was one of the reasons that i like the phone. It doesn't say how to do it anywhere that i can find.

I got the phone on friday last week and i noticed this too. I'm using the headphones from my sony cd walkman and the quality is much better even though there only cheap old sony headphones.

please help.just bot the w850 and i must say am disappointed.1,the sound quality of the ear phones is lower than that of the w810,800,k750,and w900.have used all these phones so am sure what am saying.am not worried about the camra quaity.its just the sound.lacks treble in the ear phones even if the equalizer settings are ajusted.have some1 tried different ear phones or its just the phones problem?how can i also turn off the 3G as i hear it saves battery.best camera phone to me is the w900 cos of the sound quality of the ear phone.

Had this phone for about a month now and its really cool. When ppl see me with it they all wantto knon which model SE it is and i tell it to them straight and they fall in love with it! I have 2 issues with it though. The slider is a bit slack due to excessive opening(guess that is my fault) and i dont like the video player. With the 1Gb card that came with the phone, and the ability to shrink videos to 3gp format, one shud be able to PAUSE at some point in time! The music player in the SE handsets needs real player like the Pseries phones!
