i have a friend who has a sliding phone
(samsung d600) it became very loose after quite a while.
now i am thinking og getting the w850 but still in a big dilemma
please help me

for me no auto focus is much better .
coz sometimes i like to capture moving cars before its gone ,,,, ohh, bmw 5 series ones .....hehe..

Does any one know if your can use the camera on the front of this phone to take self portraits etc. not being vien just wondering lol! please let me know soon as i would like toorder the phone soon! cheers!

Mas im not too sure i dnt think that they've taken it to that standard level yet but what i do know is that you can buy small speakers that plug into where the chargers goes n it plays ure music out louder...this could be suitable for in a car! good luck

does anyone agree with me when i say " the sony ericsson W850i and its other extremely simular w830i, the w850i is better" or are they jst exactly the same??? somebody please answer this question?!

i think this phone is so cool but one thing im hesitant about is the sliding thing....coz i thnk it will eventually get loose or somthing..can anyone help me pls tnx.

agree. I hardly use my iPod anymore after i ve got the phone. W850 just offer so much more than a iPod. with its FaceWrap java function it capture distorted pics of people. You can also use the PhotoDJ function to modify the photos/pictures in the phone. it's fun using those pictures as the caller ID of your friends.

to qizi. yes you can do zooming when the camera is in VGA mode. The quality of the zoomed pics wouldn't deteriorate much as it is using extra pixel for the zoomed pictures.

I have to say this is the best phone i have ever used. The WALKMAN function is just excellent. Camera (even without AF) is far clearer than the other camera phones i have used. Plus it is full of features. If you are after a camera/3G phone/Walkman/radio solution, this is just the phone for you.

i got this phone a while ago. n i try to take picture with the normal mode. but it cannot be zoom. it's made like that o is that my phone got a problem?

I got the phone yesterday and I love it. Stepped up from Z600/6260 and its a massive improvement in all facets.
Speaker quality is awesome, camera is good - people complain about it not being as good as other phones, but at the end of the day its a phone not a camera, and 2mpx is great for daily use.
I'd suggest this over w810 purely due to the 1g memory and 3g capabities.
No need for an Ipod anymore :D

Yes, sadly the camera is worse than k750-w800-w810-w900 line... look at esato.com, phone photos and the forums!
I'm just hesitating between this and the w810.
w850: bigger screen, newer software, tons of features, can display time on screen saver mode (and not eating up the battery), 1 gb card, 3g, good battery, slider, white has 24k golden logo :)
w810: knows all(main features) what the w850, smaller screen, 512 card, but a camera what can replace your digicam even in a holiday (in good circumstances), good battery, edge, candybar, menu is the same

I am thinking about getting this phone im not that bothered about the camera. my last phone was a K750i and it was a 2.0 mega pixel camera i thought that it was a good camera phone, the camera on the the w850i is exactly the same but some people have said its old technology and a rubbish camera. is this true? can any one with the w850i and/or has experienced using both camera tell me? write back soon please!

THIS PHONE IS AMAZING!!!! i insist every one buys it....ive got a great contract with it ...people say that the camera isnt too good for you if your a "camera sorta person" but they are totally wrong! i dont see how they can say tht...this hpone looks good works good and is absolutely fantastic! it album art is terrific and very cool! and the small cirular left right up and down buttons are funky this phone is incredible holding up to 1000 songs that you can play over and over again the battery is remarkable and i couldnt have asked for anything more better! even if there was! Top phone i advise you to get this walkman phone by sony ericsson its great!

I was looking at the w850i today and it seemed a bit funni looking at first but however it grew on men i love the fone now im planning on getting it at crimbo...ive read a few comments on the camera not being so good im not really a camera phone sort of person but i would like to have a decent camera..but the thing is, is its the same mega pixels as my old phone the k750i and i was impressed with that if any one has the w850i coudl you please say honestly whether this phone has a camera as i dont want to be let down...and im quite confused! :s
