Great looking phone. But isn't Vodafone getting the white one as an exclusive? I hope Orange get this phone too when it is released.

the black handset is due for release 06/10/06 and the white one 30/09/06 with vodafone

How can u compare this awesome phone with a useless Nokia 6233. Its uncomparible. Mokia leads in navigation but SE has much better software symbian.

The point of buying this phone because its using Memory Stick Duo Pro , we all hate M2 because of its cost , plus this is the only SLIDE PHONE of SE yet ... with our most beloved software - The walkman series , which has the best & easiest use .... I would recommend this phone for anyone who seeks Entertainment and not photo.

Hi All,
I think its a cool phone with most of the features. I would like to know:
1-How much is its memory expandable?
2-How easy is its navigation because I think Nokia leads in the navigation domain?
3-Is it available in Market?
4-Any one with showroom prices?
I think this phone gets strong competition with Nokia 6233, if just looks kept aside.

I am testing the phone wright now and my first impression was, hey! A good small, light and cute smartphone thatis just a little better than the others.
Now, after a week, I rekon there are a few defaults. Like the sliding cover that is already less neat than 5 days ago, it moves when it's open and you play with the menu toolbar or example.
Another little shame is the memory. Why bother saying it's a "walkman" whilst you only get memorysticks to play with. Why didn't build an ipod or zen like memory?
The camera function though is quite good. Of course it's not autofocus but then, use a proper camera to take good pictures...
The music keys are really easy to use and practical.
Now I'm not a big fond of the manufacturer's menus. But i guess this one is not too bad. (can't be honest on this one).
Anyhow, this is a great phone that opens a path toward better and smaller. Like it!

hi all... like most of us here, even I am impressed with the phone and waiting for this model. But have a really important question. I compared the model with W700, specification by specification and found that it(W850) has less memory backup than W700 and apart from it most of the features are almost same (infact picture/image viewer are not htere in W850, which is there in W700). But looks-wise of course this is far better than W700. No specificatino about in-built speakers are given, does anyone has better idea about this and regarding anything else, which is not mentioned here.
