mohamed must be some smart kid to come out with all that info he wants in a phone ...
Just think how complicated it gets in all that information ... how would a kid know about all that stuff and even if all that information was read he wouldnt just copy it because he would not have a clue about what he is writing down so that proves he is not a kid!!

The phone is mavellous so sweet like my girl but most times i feel so odd when using it cos it make me think of my odd ugly looking president Obansajo.

It's called product placement mate.
They gave the phone to the producers of the film (along with a big fat cheque probably) in order for the film to promote the phone. This does not mean the phone is already released. The same thing happened with the Nokia 7110 - this was shown on The Matrix long before it was released.
The W850 will be released around August.

This site is wrong. This fone is actually released already. Have you watched The Da Vinci Code? in the bus scene theres this guy who is using this fone. the movie is released just this may and was done last year and finished early this year. so it is actually released.

hi, i love this phone but still no wlan tht is quite dissapointing to me sonyericsson should have gone for it this time otherwise a fantastic phone and also why go back to the to 2mp camera when they have 3.2mp in their k800???? these 2 things i hope will be realised soon by sonyericsson but still a good phone i like it and i am getting one as soon as it becomes available.

- if you want 6x optical zoom with carl zeiss optics buy sony ciber-shot DSC-R1 (only has 5x) its very thickness camera and wait the same with your phone.
- 512K in screen colour, 16 millions of colours are better for sure, and you forget resolution, i guess that you want a VGA or SVGA screen in only 2,1 inches.
- Why miniSD, put in your phone a HSS (Hard disk Solid State), at least 30Gb.
- Why to put UMTS, GPRS and EDGE class 32?????
This phone comes with CDMA EV-DO 1x, it means 12 Mbps in data flows!!

You want 4MP with 6X optical zoom? Buy a digital camera. Even then you will be hard pressed to find one with 6x digital zoom.
Why would you want 512MB of internal memory when you have external memory?
MiniSD? Why? If nothing else this is a Sony phone and is going to use Sony developed memory aka Memory Stick Duo which actually comes in larger sizes than MiniSD.
TFT 512k color - Like you'd notice the difference.
Wlan? Why it's not a computer. It comes with bluetooth and a datacable.
GPRS class 32 and EDGE class 32? You only need one as one is all your network will provide.

Personally I like the look of this phone, it stands out and is a smoother design compared to the previous walkman phones from SE. If i didnt already own an iPod I'd definately consider this phone.

i was so into all the walkmans especially this one,...... but then i bought the tmobile sidekick 3
it is nothing compared to all these european fones but it stands out and it has a music player and mini sd
and a full key board and aim and 1.3 mp camera

it's cool mobile but the only problem it has is the auto-focus ,i like to take a pics & with the auto-focos it's awsome .
i dunno know why Sony Ericsson has some disadvantage in some of thies mobiles :S this phone only need auto-focus & it'll be sooo cooooooool
