Why the hell would you want Wlan in a phone? It's a PHONE not a computer. As to all the people complaining that it's only 2MP I suggest you realise what this is for. Camera phones are not meant to be replacements for digital cameras but are meant for you to capture those odd moments you want to treasure and don't have a camera to hand.

Se should really start putting stuff like EDGE,Wlan, Tv-input,3 or more mpx higher camera with lens cover into their models.....this set has one hot cuttings and it totally ROCKS!!!!!but i feel its a bit of a waste not to hav put autofocus or those other stuff in......

THE BEST LOOKING PHONE OF THE W-Series....but it doesnt carry autofocus but who cares...its got the second edition of walkman but will it be the loudest walkman phone sony-ericsson released????Sony Ericsson really need to release a walkman phone with a 3.2 or more mpx camera with auto focus and with all the extra data stuff if they want a spot on the top and beat N93....

HEY CARBONISE samsung actualy have a 10 megapixel camera phone and it is nowhere near a brick BUT... this phone still ROCKS

For those saying they should put a higher resolution camera in this. IT IS A PHONE WITH A CAMERA. If you want higher resolution go buy a camera. Hell Samsung has a 7 MP camera phone but boy is it a brick. As for the "This is the best phone in the world" well it would be close IF IT HAD AUTO FOCUS.
I was considering this as a replacement for my W810i but the lack of auto focus is a serious downer.

this phone is the best phone in the world!!!!!!!! try argue with that. you cant coz it is. so there!!!! but sony, hey, seriously, put a better camera in it. like a 5 mp, make it an industry destroying phone that the rest of the manufacturers say "holy crap!" to. or make a w series k800. i'd sell my soul for that phone.

i like the design,features everything, but it should have 3.2 cubershot camera... it would be best and first walkman brand with 3.2 mpx.... but else its the best.

Could be my next phone!! but..only thing that will put me off is... (it's not quad band..."850 is a must") & only if they have/had atleast a 3.0mp camera! :)
I guess i'm asking too much.. but with these features this phone could be the best seller in coming days!! wish SE reads this!!!!

But of course, North Americans can still buy the phone overseas and use it in North America provided they are with a provider that uses the GSM networks at those listed frequecies right? (I don't remember the numbers exactly now...)

The Sony Ericsson W850i is a UMTS 2100 and Tri-band GPRS 900/1800/1900 Walkman phone for Europe, Middle East, Africa.
It is commercially available in Precious Black or Golden White and starts shipping during Q3 2006.
