Dani, 30 Jul 2008Iv had my W850i for 2 Years and its still feels SOLID till ... morereally?? how about the ribbon?? or the performance?? i have talk to people,, they said that if i want a dureble phone go for the ones that dosent have a ribbon,, bar type phone,, but i want this because its stylish and unique,, it is really durable as the bar type phones?? how about the navy keys?? i heard that they crack, are they still functional even though they crack?? my friends w580 keypad cracks, and its not functioning,, is w850 durable than the w580??? tnx :)

its really Durable mines been in water falen on tarmac
still works like new

hey guys,, thus anybody know how durable this phone is?? i really love this phone, but i have concerns about its layout,, the slider, my brother has a nokia N81, & the ribbon failed after 9monts, my friend also has a samsung u700, also the ribbon failed for just 6monts,, i know sony is a well known company,, but i want to know how durable their product is,, can sombody help me??
how long thus the ribbon of this phone will lasts?? knowing this phone is one of the 1st slider sony has built,, is this a very durable phone??? pls help:(

Ive had many phones but I have got to say this one is the best by far! It is so easy to use and I have never had any problems with it!
The only disadvantages are that it is not the most attractive phone and also the camera is not brilliant but it takes good pictures!!
It is very easy to text etc..
It has almost every feature
Good size screen
Brilliant music player
Very good battery life, I rarely have to charge it even after listening to lots of music and taking photos!
It is just an all round good phone which is very easy to use and ive never had a problem with it! I strongly reccomend it!

elcrocodilio, 17 Jul 2008he yall everybody anybody. if anyone know how to back up m... morePlz use My Phone Explorer( its freeware and a lot better than the original Sony PC Suite ) It can save all yor msgs/contacts/files on the PC. There are different modes like inbox, sent, saved, drafts etc.There is another option also. You can select all msgs ( Ctrl+A and Right Click and export selected msgs to destination folder in the form of text file. You can easily do it. There is even a backup option. You save your original msgs and delete them from phone (WARNING : Be sure not to connect the phone to PC while deleting msgs from phone and do it only after you have saved your msgs on your PC) after that you may safely delete from phone. Then connect your phone and the Software will ask you if you want to delete msgs from archives or not. Choose save. There is only one glitch. You may end up with several copies of the same msgs( I did ) but atleast you wont lose your msgs. You can restore all / individual msgs to your phone

has anyone tried using a bluetooth headset with this phone???? and did it work?? i need a phone with A2DP .... currently using a w810i but the phone doesnt have A2DP as stated on this site :( ... please let me know ... thanks in advance
