Hey, with the problem about the D-pad cracking.. one of my friends has had this phone for almost a year and he is very careless with it, always dropping it and throwing it around and his is still in fine working condition.
No problems with the D-pad or anything else really!
i just lost my second z610i so im thinking of getting a white one of this :)

to all SEw850 user:
ive been using w850 for a year and just now i noticed my d-pad is cracking, does anyone know where to find/buy one?? most of all im very satisfied with the features and performance this phone is giving me... this phone rocks! Sony Ericsson rules..!!

I've been using this phone for 4 months already...Its an awesome phone...Apart from my cracked d-pad and mediocre 2 megapixel camera...Everything's great...Sound quality through the loudspeakers are very clear...The flash themes preinstalled in the phone are damn cool especially 'grouped'. The orange walkman key is also unique and light effects too! This is my first ever sony ericsson phone since i've been using nokia smartphones such as 3230, n90 and n93...But this phone made me a sony ericsson fan....Well done sony ericsson!

N73 has louder speaker than w850i... but w850i's speaker has better quality ( more clear and detail not like the N73 speaker that only loud but distord the sounds all the way... ) in quality sounds from headset w850i beat N73 by a very wide margin... the advantage of N73 from w850i only the camera i think... but the other aspect w850i is better because it never hang and freeze like all of N-series from NOKIA...

i have 1 more question..
it is the sound system if we play music by using the headset for both w850i and N73 is the same? it is N73 better or w850i better? the w850i have MEGABASS function rite??

Nokia N73 is better obviously! but W850i has great Java and Walkman
this is my view on it:
iv had it for 2 years the 2006 Model:
these are its problems:
D-Pad has Cracked
Slider is Loose and Makes creaking noises
Battery Life has gone down to 2 days
its stopped reading the Memory Card
i mean...this is a 2006 Model of W850i and its given alot of Problems..
PS:2007 Models have NONE of these Problems
and its been discontinued(out of production) !

this is a Walkman phone with VIDEO CALLING!!!!! are you serious??? if nothing else (besides the looks and features), that alone makes me want to grab this phone!!!!! AT&T 4 LIFE!!!!!!!!!!

This phone is a waste, the battery is sucked up in 1 day, my w800 can stay for 3 days (music+email+massage+phone), the camera is poor (w810(my roommate’s phone) proves its pride here), the buttons are awkwardly designed, dunno if anybody would take this phone. As usual, walkman rocks!! The sound is superb!!

W800 has a Much better Camera Results since it has AF/Flash and Walkman 1.0
W850 has muchh better Music Capabilities such as the latest Walkman 2.0 software and memory up to 4GB
W850 is much more Music then camera
W800 slight bit of both

which phone is better this phone or the W800. I don't care about phone color. I just care about the music quality and camera. Thankyou for your help.
