I just bought a white W850i coz I gave the black one to my mom to replace her P910i.
It's strange coz i got a cute walkman phone strap in the package.
So I suppose the phone strap only comes with the white one?
Coz i didn't get any with my black one october last year.

Try to adjust the brightness to 100% in the display settings to prolong the orange light in the walkman.. I tried different brightness settings. 50%- about 10 secs of light... The higher the brightness the longer the orange light would last.. Hope this helps..

Ya...I had the same problem too..I put the same movie to both 4gb and 1gb memory card but still the video lagged...I did some research from different forums around the net and I've found out that some videos are needed to be converted to a format that is best for our phone..I tried to convert some of my videos that usually lagged to a decent format like 3gp and it played smoothly after... Try checking for forums around the net and you could find lots of tips on how to have smooth palying movies for your phone... hope this helps.. p.s. there are lots of converters out..just download

hi when i play videos on my W850 it lags and the picture and sound dont match i try it on a 1 & 4g memory card does any1 have this problem or is it just me ???is ther any way 2 fix it please help???

Does anyone know how to keep the flashing orange lights on, because they always go off after about 10secs.

well.
*w850 is the one in the photo above.It exists in "Coal grey" and "Golden white"
*the w580 will be out in july or later.It is basically the same: slider, same non AF 2megap.camera,radio,wlakman...only that it is only 14mms.wide and has better looks(in my opinion).Colours: Urban Grey and :::White.
No big change, except maybe w580 does not have videocall, and I am not sure about flash.chech in se web

I'll try to answer some of your requests:
* the equalizer can be manually set(I do that all the time)
*keypad is not too comfortable,but OK.The "navigation thing" is terrible if you want to play games
*slider is solid and very easy to use
*screen definition i sgrat, but my w880 is SOOOOOOO far better in crispness and brightness.

Gooday. I am single-handedly the most indecisive person i know,regarding the purchase of*and actually being happy with*a cell phone.I stemm from the Motorola Stable and of recent the pastures on the Sony Ericsson Stable SIDE seems all the more GREENER.I am greatly interested in the W850i,however i need to know a few things about this phone before Proceeding with anything.My questions are real simple,as are my needs.I think interms of everyday usage,so,the Equaliser feature should come with presets yes?my Q is wether you can manually adjust the settings to it,How cumfy is the keypad?Ive never owned a "slide phone" before.The slide Feature. seems a bit of a effort.And display sizewise to my understanding,the resolution is good...very good?Wallpapers,do they open fullscreen?when applied as wallpaper?and can you have shortcuts on the phone?eg.Im browsing the Mobileweb.and would like to access my messages/open up a app.run it.and have the browsing session run in the background.is this do-able?One last thing,interms of sound through the headphones.How loud is loud?Im hoping for a satisfying audio effect with good treble and goosebumps-giving bass...your input would be gr8ly appreciated.THANX.

hi ho evryone.. js need a lil confirmation frm someone,i got tis phone 2 weeks back n to my surprise my phone is in VODAFONE version wit wher d original has a WALKMAN icon below wher u all usually slide the phone but mine's a VODAFONE icon ..LOL! so i hoping tat someone could tell me i did not make a FREAKING mistake by takin tis phone..

To anyone out there,
I have the W810i and it still has Walkman 1.0 on it, and today I got the W850i too and it is of course loaded with Walkman 2.0 but I want to know whether any of you who r using a W810i with walkman 2.0 on it have noticed that the mega bass function is not as great as with version 1? Coz to me all the songs played with walkman 2.0 sounds like a Benny Benassi (Satisfaction)song (which is quite annoying), if you know what I'm trying to say? In other words, as soon as the bass goes loud the trebble fades on the w850i walkman, but with version 1.0 on the w810i walkman that doesn't happen. Version 1.0's mega bass sounds much better to me.
Can anyone help me please?

it is agreat mobile phone, walkman and rds radio plus "decent" 2meg. pictures.,videocall,light,nice screen,easy-to-hold ...
I am waiting for my 5th w850.Every time I change it for a "newer SE" (W880,k800,w710,z710...), I miss it!I have had 3 in black and 2 in white.Finally I will keep the white one,with a 2gb card.
I'd love a w880 + radio, but the new models like s500 and w580 only improve the weigh and thickness.Too much the same thing.

yes you can use an mp3 as a ringtone. just go to file manager go to the song you want as a ringtone, press 'more', down to 'use as', select 'ringtone' and there you go. hope it helped

im thinking about getting this phone .i read somewhere that this phone does nt pay MP3's as ringtones?? is this true? Please someone let me know as soon as possible. :)

this is one of the best phones on the market.yes the camera doesnt zoom when u take picture so wat.the phones play great who nneds a ipod when u have this when i play the radio or nusic stored in my phone people come running me and ny friend are the envy of evrybody.everybody wants one,lots of memory takes amazing pictures even at nite.you people complain like little children.what u all winers should do is go and make a phone to wat u want then u wouldnt br her gettin on like little girls who wants a barbie doll.i had this phone from janurary and still getting offers for it all like now.i have a three year old son who drops its all d time still works beautifully.Se keep doin wat u doin that is making great phones.nokia and motorla second and third sonyericsson your number uno.
