@ making the camera silence
im nt sure bout this phone but my W810i will take silent shots when u silent the whole phone whihc means on the phone's silent mode.u can try that.im nt 100% sure it'll work on this phone but its should*i guess*

I cannot do anything but agree with 'U2{p'.
This phone is great for some, and horrible for others. Yes, the keys are small, but if you can live with typing in 1 minute instead of 30 sec, then it's cool. The battery on SE is THE BEST. no doubt. All over a slick phone, and you cant feel it is in your pocket. I have had nokia n73, e65 and many other phones too and this is by far the best i've had.

No, you can't silence the camera sound on W880 either. I think it's the same with every phone. Just something the manufacturers put in place so that their products aren't abused by showerroom voyeurs to take pictures/videos on unsuspecting people.

The problem with all SE sets is the big headset plug - it's bulky, it gets in the way, and it spoils the phone's clean lines. On models which have the connector on the side, like here on the w880, it's downright ridiculous.

Hi, this phone is great, BUT the camera is awful, grainy in poor light and sometimes grainy during the day, why not put a flash in it for the love of god! also, the durability is terrible, stainless stell is on the front of the phone, but the edges are plastic, and as such break of very easily if dropped on its corner,once the edges snap off it looks awful, had phone about 4 months now, and has started to turn itself off, will 02 fix it or not?

The front camera is used for 3G calls only i think, rarely use at all. I love the weight, size and aesthetics, real beauty. Buttons are a bit tricky if u have long nails haah

Very nice phone, only thing is i have big hands and the keys are hard to separate when texting.
I do love the brushed stainless steel feel and it's so easy in the pocket. My Trucks bluetooth works with a larger volume with this phone.
While the phone has a speaker for it's 200 odd song storage at 5megs each, it comes with headphones which sound beautiful in full stereo.
If you can live without IR (who uses it anyway when you can use a usb to usb) and can put up with it's small keys.
This is one beautiful phone.

ive had the 880 since june and the only problem ive had is that it just swithces off by itself constant,i work in the mobile phone industry and ive seen the exact same problem with others!!!!its been repaired and doesnt do it any more but thats not cool for a SE

very superficial phone. a good girls phone. small, works fine as a phone, but too many compromises in features to get to the small size. I rather have a slightly bigger phone with IR, better speaker, light/flash/...etc

Small keys? I think they compliment the overall look of the phone. Would not be the same with larger keys. Seen the leaked pictures of the successor W890i? Larger keys but not the same charisma that W880i exudes. If only people can look at the bigger picture than being myopic. Get used to the keys, get used to this gorgeous phone. Or else don't bother getting it at all.

excellent by all means but one :
when you connect the w880 to a pc usb port, you have to choose between either phone & modem or usb mass storage & usb battery charging.
=> it's quite a problem not beeing able to charge the battery while using the umts modem or usb mass storage functions.
I give it a 9 instead of 10 for that reason.
