I know the reason why many people say that this phone's sound quality is poor. I had a K750i and now I have this phone (W880i). This phone comes with the new headphones. The sound is terrible because of these headphones. I put the headphones from the K750i onto this one, and the sound can be compared to the sound from an ipod - very good. Only downfall of this phone is that it doesnt have a flash for the camera , and no radio, and the headphones are terrible. Otherwise an excellent durable phone

My W880i also turns itself off when it feels like it. I'm taking it back to my network provider today but I am now worried in case the problem does not get resolved like with yours.

Ive had this phone about 6months and I got the speakers free with it and they sound fab. The only thing is i've had to have the software upgraded twice so far as it keeps turning itself off. Its okay again for a few weeks then square 1. It's started happening again this week. Any1 else had this?

angela...lots of people use the loudspeaker instead of headsets. both as a handsfree and for listening to music. i have a w810i and the loudspeaker sounds ok. not fantastic, but good for listening with the kids. But the 880 loudspeaker is horrible. Sounds like earphones turned up really loud. They are no good as a loudspeaker for handsfree or music.
This, the fact that there was no radio, no infrared, and i didn't like the buttons were the reason for me selling my 880 and keeping my 2 year old 810

For me this phone is simply erresistable. with smooth style, thin good walkman. anyway do anybody appreciate the sound of other mobile without the headset! i dont think so. so stop pretending that other mobile without the headset is good to hear.

Phone is cool. Of course the display size is not enough with respect to the given resolution
320x240. Good as a walkman but only when u r using headset. Cos speakers r bad. Good batt life.

When i first saw this phone i was oh thats so nice its really thin not too heavy.. i jus wish the botton were a bit bigger they are really thin and small >< With my current Nokia the bottoms are like double the size and i just like msg really easyly.

Gave up on this phone. The small key pad is not user friendly at all! Have owned 5 models of SE phones but this model is the worst! Getting rid of it after 1 month of torturing....

I am almost due for an upgrade and the Sony Ericsson w880 just popped in to my head, my friend also has one of them and you definitly can't go wrong buying one of them. I can't wait to get my own!!!

got the phone 3 days ago. read various reviews also. the sound quality really sucks with the bundled headphones but is amazing with larger quality headsets. Any suggestions which one to buy, preferably bluetooth and easy to fold and carry ? thanks

i have had this phone since may, i think it looks the part but like many people have said the camera could bet better and a radio would have finished it! the last week or so it keeps switching itself off on its own, very annoying!
