The people who are complaining about certain aspects of this phone need to remember what this phone was intended for and how it has been geared towards that part of the market. It's a Sony Walkman phone, so the music player and memory are good. It's also intended as a fashion phone, so the looks of the handset as such a slim 3G handset are impressive. This isn't the phone you consider if you want a great camera or if you have big fingers. The raised buttons do make navigation easy once you get used to the size compared to most handsets.
I've had it a couple of months now and I'm very happy with it. Yes, certain elements could be improved, but I knew that at point of purchase so I can't really complain.

Wat phone has a torch. like flash?? I only know k750i...Can anyone tell me all the other ones...of course this doesnt

I think its a hot lookin phone, but the keypad is the worst I've ever felt (personal opinion)... but if you have tiny, skinny fingers, go get 'em! I really wanted this phone until I touched it... gives me the same feeling as scratching fingernails on a blackboard!

Have a demo of the w880 at work. Comes free on a $49 cap with bonus 1 GB memory card. The keypad takes some getting used to but it grew on me after spending some time browsing through its functions and settings. If you want a music player, quality camera and phone in one package that is slim, this is the phone for you.

i am using w880i now.. it's a nice phone, easy to bring it to everywhere, it's light and thin, juz like a MP4, but the size of screen quite small.

just bought this phone and am very pleased with my first eriksson.
muct agree with last comment tho, disappointed with mainly
-no radio
-no flash/light
however display and themes are awesome, standard earphones coming with device are unbelievable and the look and feel of this phone make it a great buy. i use my phone for calls, odd camera shot and walkman and this is definetely a great buy for anyone who is after that. :) cant wait to use TRackID!!!!

well, i got the w880i as an upgrade from a w800i... i must say it's a sexy looking phone. i got some cheap clear plastic case for it off ebay for $1 to keep it in good condition. anyhow, the phone's software is an improvement over the w800i. the obvious differences are:
no radio (not that i care, stations suck here anyhow)
no flash/light
no zoom in most cam modes
although the flash isn't necessary, it makes some night photography a little tough... ya gotta be in the right light or else your pics will suck. you can still adjust the light balance anyhow, no complaints. the inability to zoom in most shot modes is kinda annoying.
it would be nice to see the phone multitask a little better - playing mp3's and running a java game kinda freezes the phone sometimes and even makes the song skip or stop for a few seconds. that sucks! but i'm sure it's like that with other models too, unless you have a smartphone.
what i thought was cool about the themes was the ability to have flash menus (only on generic unbranded fw) like with citybeat theme. i look forward to making a few skins over the next little while to make my w880i even more sexy.
it would be cool to see in walkman 2.5 or 3.0 a feature that allows you to cut a ringtone from an mp3/aac/mp4 by selecting the start time and end time of the ringtone within the selected song, rather than having to do it manually with your pc.

i have this phone the only problem in it is the sound quality it is very VERY bad i was disappointed.I had P910 thats the best sound quality i ever heard. Im looking forward to buy the P1 hopefully the sound quality is perfect

can you sync this phone with a mac? i presume itunes music files (mp3)work with the media player.

i used ericsson for a long time. it is good, i hate nokia due to fastest depreciation of value.aaah its sucks! for me ericsoon is the best i want to have p990 but its too expenssive.hehehe...

i've said it before and i'll say it again
the only reason you would buy this phone is because of its looks.
In every other aspect it's inferior to other "similar" phones, be it SE, nokia..etc.
Don't ask me why, just read a few pages of history, i've detailed why i don't like it.
