Sony Ericsson's advantage over the consumer's interest was the sheer small size with still powerful features(i.e. walkman 2.0 and 3mp camera) in which nokia hardly makes one for us because of the over features. nokia's slimmest phone yet are the 2630 and 6300 which when compared to W880, feature wise they lose while SE has W880 and T630 with bristling walkman 2.0 and 3.2mp camera. i wonder if nokia can make a phone similarly sized of either the two SE phones with PAR or better feature-o-size ratio.

Does anyone know what size MS card the phone supports? I know it supports the 2GB card but am wondering if it supports the 4GB card and if it will support the 8GB and later larger memory cards?

            Thanks

I live in the US and I really like this phone!! But its only a triband and I've been told to always go with quadband. I was wondering if anyone has any experience with the phone in the US or any triband phone. I need to know what the signal and general use is like in the USA before I go ahead and invest in it.

Dear Friends, Last week I had posted a brief view about SE W850. Yesterday I bought SE W880i. I would like to inform you all that W880i is definitely a ultra slim stylish mobile. You would feel like a rich man holding it in your hand. I could see my friends staring again again on this beautifully crafted masterpiece. This phone has a most vibrant and sharp display and very very goods sound reception.

But when it comes to performance in terms of music and taking pictures, I have no hesitation to claim Sony Ericsson W850i a winner. I have also used SE K800i. But leave auto focus 3,2 megapixel camera aside, SE W850 wins again in all departments.

However I have a small request to Sony Ericsson Team if at all they surf through user opinions on this website is to bring a better user interface and better features in future. It is so annoying to have right hand activation key as menu and also if you press the joy stick at centre to go into Menu. Why two keys dedicated to Menu since a few years. Instead give user a chance to assign different feature to right hand activation key. Also we need more Phone numbers to be assigned to each contact. Why only one mobile no. one work no. These days everyone in business like to carry 2 mobile nos. and have a few work tel nos.

A big big requirement is to have a viewer fo r office documents. In this field Nokia and even Samsung has accomplished a milestone. Why Sony Ericsson is left out. We expect a lot from Sony Ericsson phones. Give us the masterpiece. Where is Wireless Lan. Give us that too.

                      Talk to you guys soon.

I had this phone for almost a month, no issue at all, batt is so awesome which unbelievable even using MP3 so frequent. Absolutely no system crash or lag issue. The only slight lag that i got is in the shortcuts. Very happy with it,my 2nd SE phone since T610 (5 yrs ago).Has been using Moto,Nokia,Siemens all the while before got this phone. Size is fabulous compare to N91 (Size Does Matter). However Voice Dialing wasn't that accurate and no Voice Commands like open MP3 / Change Profiles etc etc unlike Moto A-Series. Overall still one my FAVOURITE so far beaten my all time fav (Moto A780 by Size).

p/s: All mobile manufacturers over the world has a 5% of fault rate. Sometimes really depends on luck when your phone becomes faulty and also depends on how end-users taken care of their phone. Blaming the phones or the creators is just meaningless!!! LEARN HOW TO TAKE GOOD CARE OF YOUR PHONE GUYS...

I have over 23 mobiles over 5 years (not to brag just to show the stats), but so far only my Nokia 7280 the pen (having software issue) and old SL55 having keypad issue. 2 out of 23 in 5 years, you know the maths.

Wish all GooD Luck when getting new phones! I think I have pretty good luck.

Got This on upgrade, however i have to admit i prefered my W810i. The 880i is a neat looking phone and is a real headturner. However i think the camera is a bit better on the w810i, it has a light and the battery is miles better. Im currently charging my 880i every 3 days where as my 810i aboiut 5-6 days. Still worth a look though

After my two previous SE phones (K610 & K800) stopped working due to firmware crashes, I got this one. Firmware working OK so far. And the overall build is very good. On par with K800 and better than K610. Sound is bad, K800 is winning hands down. Didn't try the camera as don't need it but apparently it's worse than K800 as that was the champion. The SMS memory is the same as K800, however, and it's impressive 1000 messages so glad SE listened to the users in this respect. The reaction is much better in this one but maybe it's due to teh fact that K800 had some firmware problems from the very beginning. Still, W880 is quite agile. And its lightness is already legendary. Mine flew about 5 metres away dropping on a rocky ground and just a small, almost invisible dent.

apparently it is a theortical maximum of 32gb. google M2 and 32gb and you will tons of articles about it. Do you know if the 880 supports the 8gb card?
