the w890 is the bes celphone you can buy. the main problem is tha price, that is about 500usd!

Good news - the price keeps dropping!
I guess consumers can not be so easily manipulated. Few weeks ago this phone was introduced with a 500USD price.
After about 5 weeks the price dropped more than 30% -- over 150USD.
Like many of us said that time the fair price for this basic phone is about 250-300USD (unlocked without contract).
The predicted price is now totally in sight.
What would be nice if SE would recall the defected batteries and announced the screen problem update or fix.
After all this is a nice chic phone.

It is very wise to cut and paste the tech info for us :)
I prefer to have a 2mm thicker phone with:
- larger screen!!!
- touch screen!!!
- better battery (W890 has problems with the battery)
- larger memory (28Mb is a joke)
- much better audio
- playback
- speaker
- flash!!!
- autofocus!!!
- better video
- GPS!!!
- larger buttons
- WIFI!!!
For me the 1-2mm extra thickness not noticeable but the extra features makes a huge difference.
We have different expectations and needs - you may just can´t live with a phone no matter how good it is if it is more than 10mm thick. Good luck!:)

Just got this phone a few days ago and i am loving it. The camera leaves a bit to be desired but thats about it.
does anybody know how to transfer additional games to this phone via the USB cable? i have tried copying them into a number of different folders on both the phone and the card but they never show up.

get themes from www.zedge.net
i couldnt find the w890 on the list so i just used w910 and they work fine

quick question....
on my last SE the clock used to show on idle screen, and when i got a msg it used to show an envelope, does W890 have this feature? i only know if i have a message by actually unlocking my phone.

ok i just got this phone from ebay and its great..
only thing is the menu is werid because the keys are on the right hand side. and the left softkey cant be changed.. WTF ??
dont know about battery life yet. hope its good.. time will tell

I just bougth this phone one week ago. I own a SE K800i and a Nokia 6300. The W890 is such a dissapoinment. At first i liked it when i saw it in a store, but after i bougt it, no way.
It is not got to pickup from a table, very plastic almost like a toy. The sound when it rings is bad and not loud(is that a fault or is all W890 this way?). The music coming from the speaker is bad, even my K800 and Nokia 6300 has much better sound.
I hate my self for falling for this one, and know i am stucked for 6 months with the operator.
I will try to sell this phone very soon.
