@ Tsepz , nice to hear that u are doing good there,I'm also doing good , thx :) Glad to hear that u will keep the W900 even when u plan to get new one. I also wanna get new phone for secondary phone,so im not going to sell my beloved w900, i will keep it. Im plannig to get SE k790, Do SA have this type of phone?

I hav bought this hp for around 1 year..i found dat there is a problem..everytime when i chat with my fren with headset,the headset might be loose..i hav sent it to the SE centre, but they cant found any problem..did sum1 who use this hp met this problem?..

Nope the swivel mechanism is very riliable and durable on this phone Sony Ericsson made sure of that,thats why this phone and the S700 are quite bulky,the joints are big,strong and well put into place, ive been using my W900 for the last 8months now and i have NEVER had any problems with swivel mechanism

Hi. can any long time user of this phone tell me if they've had any problems with the swivel open-shut mechanism? There are too many people here where I am, saying that such types of phones are not strong enough and tend to break, etc. at the join?

Nope unfortunetly you cant turn the WALKMAN1.0 to a 2.0 its nt possible yet @ jack
wen it comes to size yes K800 is beta BUT the W900 is way beta than K800,the only thing K800 realy has over W900 is the 3.2mp camera, otherwise the W900 kills K800 in every other way no doubt!

actually there is some JAVA to help u turn off the sound n the flash of the camera.i am owning it.u can shut the camera sound by turning into silent mode.about the flash,u can turn it on,off or auto whenever you want.but,honestly,this phone is quite bulky.prefer k800 if i have another chance to choose.

some guy is selling me his what used to be locked to vodafone now debranded w900 for 13000 php about $240-$250 USD
says that in his w900 you can turn off the flash and the camera sound
I have a question
what are the disadvantages, compared to that of an openline unit, of having a phone locked to vodaphone then debranded? any limitations to the features that may have been imbeded by the vodaphone brand?
is it true that one can actually turn the flash and the sound of this unit while taking pics and videos?
any help would be greatly appreciated thanks sirs

Patrick, you commented that there is no fast forward and rewind functions in the W900i.
This is not so, hold down the number six for FAST FORWARD and hold down the number 4 for REWIND.

Hey guys, I can hardly find negative feedbacks for this phone, and hence, I am planing to buy it. One thing that i concern is, this phone is using walkman 1.0, can I upgrade it to walkman 2.0? and can I update the firmware to use animated themes with vertical menu? which is what w710i has.. thanks in advance. @ Peji, yep i just noticed,the site was shutdown,i dnt hav any other site to download 3D games frm nw :-(, To Jack: 30hour playback when phone is switchd off means that if you play the music frm the phone whilest its in FLIGHT MODE, wen in flight mode the phone cn only play MUSIC and VIDEOS al the other functions are turned off, the phone is abit slow but not too slow,you wil find that the phone plays its ANIMATIONS very slowly becoz of the GRAPHICS ACCELERATOR otherwise nt too bad,it can take both 4GB and 8GB memory cards,im only using a 1GB on mine thou

@ W900 Owner, im all gud thanx and you? yep my W900 restarts itself if i listen to music too much,i actualy left it Vodaworld yesterday to get a Software Update,ive just come bak home with it now,so far so gud. if i do get the P990 im going to keep my W900. I love it too much to sell it!

@ Tsepz, long time no chat, how are u doing there? Have ur w900 ever restarted itself? How frequently is it if it is so? Mine sometimes restart (not too frequently though, can be said very rare) when i want to use some commands like open pictures,or open sms. Do u know what is the problem? Btw, if you really buy P990, will u sell your w900 or just buy p990 without selling w900, just curious to know :)

The battery life is fine, no it doesnt last for more than 2days, i charge mine everyday. The video quality is superb, its as gud as the NOKIA N93 vid quality. the FM radio is in the headset the phone comes with (HPM-80) it works great only problem is that it doesnt hav RDS but its stil realy gud

@ Jack, one the big points of the W900 is that it was realy made for MUSIC, VIDEOS AND MOVIES so the backlight doesnt turn off whilest watchng a video or movie

Can you tell me how long does the battery last?Is it easy to charge it?And also when your watching a video,does the light go off after few seconds?Cos i have a K700i and the light goes off.Pls reply soon.......
