Yes the W900 does hav a WALKMAN button,look at the above picture of the phone luk at the side of the phone that silver thng near the top thats the WALKMAN button. the W900 is using WALKMAN1.0 the W900 was discontinued all over the World except for places like Indonesia where they stil hav sum new stock, here in SA the W900 is quite rare, i love the fact that ive got a rare phone lol ive only seen 2ppl with it in real life,ive got a Black one,which is apparently the rarest in UK!

its too bad that this w900i (that i have) is discontinued in canada and usa. y they do that? this phone is still so good. and im very lucky to have this handset.

look at the damn thing i certainly think its the daddy of all....the fone has killer looks that catch me everytime but the thing is that its kinna delusion wedr to go 4 SEW900 or SEW880 or SEW830....CANT SAY WHICH ONES KOOLER functions wise....

Patrick your W900 must hav sum messd up firmware! my W900 records videos for as long as ive got phone memory or memory stick depending where i want save the video afterwards, and another thng wen Walkman i can fastforward and rewind both VIDEOS and MUSIC. so u must hav a bug in your firmware

It's a very nice phone but what i'm having problems with is the charger port desing, they could've made much simpler ports that can easily embed on the phone without a hasle.
2ndly, the shouldn't have made long video capture dependant on the Memory stick coz if you don't have a memory stick then you can't vediorize for more than 1 min.
3rdly, the alarm feature is redundant.
4thly, there's no fast forwarding/rewinding feature in the walkman.
otherwise it's a good phone.

Thanks for the info, Tsepz. I'm getting this phone, hopefully next month. It's becoming kind of a rarity in my country and the price hasn't dropped at all.

@Kel, wel the W900 is a VIDEO RECORDING rival to the NOKIA N93, both phones shoot videos at 30fps, bt wat makes N93 beta ere is dat it shoots in .mpeg format whilest W900 does .3gp ,the W900 is actualy beta than the latest WALKMANS in most categories, it has the best 2mp camera with Auto Focus, the W900 is the ONY WALKMAN phone that shoots videos at FULL SCREEN QVGA (320x240) resolution, its got the biggest screen out of the JAVA WALKMAN PHONES! sumthng that puts the W900 in a league of its own is da fact that it comes with 470mb internal memory which is expandable to 8GB nw, the phone runs with no problem with the 4GB MEMORY STICK! another reason is that its running the higher end 3MP NVIDIA GRAPHICS CHIP (GoForce 4800), ive put sum music videos that play at 30fps full screen resolution on my W900 and the fact that it has that NVIDIA GRAPHICS ACCELERATOR makes the videos luk realy gud and play smoothly, this phone rocks!

I've thinking about getting this phone. This is one of the older phones & has been on the market for quite awhile. I am worried that newer & better phones will be out soon. Plus the fact that this phone is kinda of expensive. So all you W900 lovers, please tell me the advantages of getting this phone. Would love a detailed comparison between W900 & phones from Nokia Nseries. I need reasons to choose this phone over N93. Does it by any chance lag with usage of 4GB memory card? Any other software defect? How good is mobile gaming with W900?

I am loving this phone very much the sound quality is better than the w880.
I recorded my son and used it in court the judge was very impressed.

for the guy from the Philippines:
I got my phone at greenhills, 2nd hand. They sell it around 14k-16k. The ones that sell it cheap like around 13k either don't include the original headset, box and manuals or are really messed up. I got mine for 14.5k. Really good condition. The previous owner, they say, used it for 4 months but had it traded in because she wanted to upgrade her phone. I think it helps when a girl owned the phone previously. There are less marks and stuff. Just be sure to test EVERYTHING out. The swivel shouldn't worry you. It's really solid.
Once you get your W900, take real good care of it and enjoy this wonderful wonderful phone!

@ndaru, nice to get to know someone from my country also using w900. Very opposite to u, my 3G always shown everytime, ven when i'm not want to use the network, quite funny, eh?
Anyway, the 3G network didn't show on your phone may be because of several reason as below :
- your operator doesnt support the 3 network (Currently, only XL and Telkomsel that serve 3G best, Indosat only serve 3G for Matirx user, so Mentari user will NOT able to use 3G yet)
3. Your operator provides 3G but the area you are staying haven;t been supported by 3G network (Please note that not area in Indonesia covers the 3G network)
4. you haven't registered your phone to your operator to activate your 3G.
So, may I know what operator you are using now and which area you are staying?

Why my w900 doesn't have GSM/3G Network in Mobile Network folder?
It's only new search, select network, search mode, and preffered network in the Mobile Network folder.
Is it something wrong with my firmware? or anything else?
