Hi,
I want a very simple info about SE w950i. Can it open and edit microsoft office files? Specially MS word and PowerPoint. I know I can have a Laptop of the same prize here. But a big screen doesnt give privacy while working during traveling. This is the only question to be answered about this great set otherwise. A 'Yes' will take me to the nearest cell market to buy this magical gadget. waiting...

The phone does get faster the more you use it..it has no glitches or any other problems. the sound is amazing...and i charge it every 3 days..eventhough the battery life doesnt finish in 3 days i still charge mine...

Has anyone experience of loading Pimsleur language courses onto this phone? I have purchased the language courses on the new 'chip' format which can be loaded onto a pc. - but can they be loaded onto phone and played?

hi there everyone: i might have some questions to ask:
as of now i can see excellent opinions regarding the SE Uiq phones now(seems like i'm already never minding of buying an N or E phones from nokia). i can barely recieved bug problems as nokia still does even with the years it has been available! but anyway anyone have tried installing 3D games on those Uiq 3 phones? is it really fast even though processor was not as fast as nokia s60s does 208mhz compared to 330mhz? if yes, i think the graphics chipset helps in that task.

oh and other than the static problem i have had with my phone, the phone is rock solid and i would recommend it, sound quality is top notch and i havnt missed my camera

1-how fast is the phone?fast or slow?
as the user below has said, it gets faster the more you use it, i know it sounds odd but it does
2-how loud is it?
loud enough although it could be louder.
3-any software problems?
not really
4-how strong is the battary life?how often do you charge it?
compared to my s700(i know ancient) it's battery life is awsome, you can leave it and not charge it for 2 nights straight and still have enough battery to last the next day. charging the phone is amazingly fast
5-how good the sound is when making calls?is it clear?loud?

fantastic phone! shame there is no camera though...
The sound output is amazing through the SE external speakers but quite poor from the internal(by comparison).
and to answer the questions above, the more you use it the faster this phone seems to get ;)
i love it! moved from the W900i to this and im not sure i would go back.

hi my question was never answered pllease help!
hi i just recently got back my W950, (repaired) and now when i play music i hear static, is this normal? Like everytime a song comes on you will hear static in teh back ground. i forgot if it did this before i sent it in and was wondering if my phone is not working correctly. Is there a fix for this???

I was hoping of you could answer some of my wonders about this W950,since its my first time to use a SE phone i need you to help me with this:
1-how fast is the phone?fast or slow?

am sorry man..my w950 gives that error message when i try playing some games...but not when i am using Walkman player
In my Opinion.. it seems somehere in your music collection the AlBum Art got corrupted...
what i would do is do a Complete Music Update!...then all your music will be fresh and hopefully that would solve the problem

Thanks to whoever answered my last question, new questions for you; does this handset have track recognition? Can I watch full length movies on this phone? I've got all my albums on it and a couple of film clips but was wondering what else I can get on there. Also anyone experiencing problems with the alarm?

this cellphone...almost :( could be the best cellphone ever, i mean 4gb, walkman, touchscreen, 3g, but NO CAMERA!!! not even 2MP dmn camera? why? cant understand SE guys, have to wait another year for the perfect cellphone...

Firstly I guess, mine is the w950i. It's software is latest release. After last night adjusting the time to Australian CST, it did what the previous 5 M600i's I've owned did, it crashed. If you're unfamiliar with the issue, the crash is unrecoverable and the phone is now a throw away. Same old boot problem where it gets half way through boot cycle to the flight mode/turn on option. Whichever you choose, it reboots. SE techs have confirmed this issue in the M600i. The software updates DO NOT fix it. If you live in Australia, or are likely to ever use the Australian CST time zone, find another phone!
