Hey, Can anyone tell me why I cant scan my network connections more than three times. Once I have scanned it more than three times, I have to then turn off my phone and then switch it back on again, in order to scan again.

Thanks man! after reviewing your thoughts and fellows comments at gsmarena, i had got myself w960i on 17/05/08 @ 7.30pm. it is absolutely a great smart phone! one can nvr expect more with the unbeatable features at great price. i still figure out some of the functions here. believe gotta try for few days b4 use to it. after all, i find the system quite responsive. and not that as heard ppl complaint bout P1i. again, thanks Nerman!!!

At the moment I have 4 year old Sony Ericsson P910i.To be honest I am not happy with this phone and it is time to change it. One of my main criteria is level of the ringtone. I work in a very noisy workshop with children and I missed a lot of calls with my old Sony Erickson P910i. It was in a case on my belt and I hardly heard the ringtones and the vibration was quite bad. After a sort of market research I decided to buy Sony Erickson W960i. It is a walkman, so it probably has very loud speakers. If you own one, could you please describe this aspect.

I was between those two phones also!
I eventually chose the W960 because of the wi-fi capabilities among other things.
It should be arriving in a week =) yay

Actually there is no US version of this phone, you possibly have a generic version, if so then you allready have the latest version of the firmware, because generic is the first version to get the firmware update.

When I did the update, I remember taking it a while at 90 or so percent, think it might have been 98%, but you should just leave it and let it do its job. Try leaving it for like half an hour when it gets stuck. Also make sure that the battery of your phone is full, that you have good connection from the phone to the computer. Also if leaving it at 98% for a long time doesn't do nothing, I think you might have found a bug in the software and should contact sony ericsson about this.

Well it's like this, for some people would find this phone good and good enough for the price that it's selling, but some people don't. I would say it is worth it, and this is why. Good battery life, walkman player is great for playing music, the design of the phone is great, feels good in your heands when you hold it, great camera for a walkman phone. Now the only thing that is not so great about this phone is the software, it's a bit slow, and I think they could make it much faster. Basically it comes down to, if you are going to listen to music constantly, then this phone is for you, that is why it is a walkman branded phone. I wouldn't go and get a HTC phone because it uses the windows mobile operating system, which in my words is terrible opearting system compared to symbian opearting system which w960 uses and nokia phones.

Different localities get firmware updates at different times. The UK update's not been available for that long (so I believe) so it may be that there's not an update available for the states yet. Just keep checking every couple of weeks, alternatively, give SE a call. I know that someone was complaining about ther repair service earlier, but for enquiries they've been really good with me every time I've called them...

Im in the US, and i kept seeing some people 's phone had upgrade to the new firmware, but how come when i used the update service it said there is no new one? Any advice?

W960, easily. 8GB memory, 3.2 mp camera with autofocus and flash, touchscreen navigation. The touchscreen thing isn't a big deal, but once you get used to it, it's so hard to go back to standard navigation solutions. Really the only thing the W910 has over the W960 is the sense-me thing and the shake control, neither of which are really that important to me. But if you're getting it SIM free or on prepay then price might be a factor, in which case the W910 wins. Hope that helps...

I'm a K800i user currently. However, still doing some market survey before buying any phones. I'm quite interested in getting a HTC phone like P3300 or Touch Cruise or N95 8GB. However, I find that W960 is a good phone to consider as well.
Can you shall your experiences or thoughts here base on these phone functionality and cost factor? Thank you in advance!!

can anyone tell me about the messages,,,i have an older phone of sonyericsson but the messages after about 70 msgs it says i have 2 delete them becouse the memory is full,,,does this problem happen in w960i please i need an answer before i buy it please please help me out
