About the music switching i have to say that i have the business standby app, also in the preferences i have the today screen hidden, and it's true the songs switch faster than with the walkman app. About the visualizations. When i turn them off, the songs change in about 1 second

      Hey Guys to everyone:
i been playing with my phone for a couple days, and i'm happy with it, yeah i know it lacks on some stuff but you can fix that, anyways, does anybody know about a good software to clone movies to the 3gp format, because i used clone dvd mobile but it wont let me because the copyright thing, or do you guys have any recommendation? i been getting videos from youtube and i'm using prism video converter to make them 3gp but as you know the video quality is not good at all, i used to get videos from limewire and then make the conversion and play my videos on my w850 and even tho the screen was small, the quality was really good, please help!!!!

One more last thing before I am off for the night,

I found this site a few days ago, http://101swmail010.googlepages.com/uiq3mods it is a site of a few mods that you can apply to the uiq3 phones, which includes w960, and one of the mods that are there is for boosting sound that come out of the headphones, and the person who made this is also working on a mod to add phone conversation recording and a few other stuff. I have not applied any of the mods on that site as I don't need them, as I am satisfied with the sound volume coming out of the headsets.

Playing arround to see if I can make the music loading any faster, I figured out a few things. If you have no animation in the walkman player the music files load a bit faster, also when on the standby screen the music sweetching is a bit faster too, that is without the animation in the background, and having the standby application: in the device settings, set to business or to none makes the music switching even faster, about 2 seconds between a song switch. When you have the walkman in standby mode to switch between previous and next song, just hold the volume up or down key. So to have the song switching the fastest have the walkman in standby mode, that is on your stanbdy screen, and have the stanbdy applications set to none, or business, and switch songs using the volume keys. I guess this is much better then having to wait almost 6 seconds to switch between a aac format song, but still not happy as it should be almost same when the walkman player is running in full screen, they could have done instant switching somehow, maybe by preloading the beginning of the previous and next songs into the memory, or the song info into the memory. The reason I didn't know any of this stuff is because I didn't really listen to music on my phone, other then a few times, at first, when I got this phone to test it out.

            This is a rant,

First time I loaded the songs to my phone, I just loaded all the songs how they are, most in mp3 format. Now today I wanted to laod most of the songs to the phone, but I saw that the files used up allot of space, not enough to use up all the storage of 8gb but I wanted them to use less, so I converted them to the aac format. And the reason I did this is because at 64kb aac sound doesn't sound any different then a mp3 encoded at higher bitrate, like 128kb(that you can notice by listening). The rant now comes in. What I found out while playing the aac files on the phone, that is, the aac take up about 2 seconds more over mp3 files to load, so every time I switch a song it takes something like 6 seconds which is about forever. But I don't constantly go through the songs changing them, when I find a song I listen to it all the way through, so this might be tolerable, or I could just leave all the files in mp3 format and play them like that. The reason this is a rant, as you can allready say, the aac format is much better then mp3, so they should have not made this happen. Also last thing this goes to sony ericsson, although they don't probably read this, but I am going to say it anyway, get your things together and fix the software, you are not going to get anywhere with smart phones with this caind of software, also for the w960, you should give us Opera mobile 9.5 and software speed improvements, before you quit on this phone.

              To JohnsoN,

When you go to my computer on your computer, windows operating system that is, it will give the phone whatever drive letter is next, but if you are using something alse to browse the files, then I think it should be C:\ at least that is what I get when opening files with a few applications that are loaded on the phone.

                  @ Rahmil

Nope, i don't. You have to know the settings of the e-mail service provider

                  @ To someone below

The size of a movie with those settings is ~1Gb and a video clip's size ~40-50Mb but the quality is just great

                    To JohnsoN,

Connect your phone to the computer, first make sure you have the drivers installed and the phone is detected by the computer. Then browse the files of the phone on your computer and go to the private folder then go to 10202dce folder and delete everything that is in that folder, restart your phone and the prompt to install the application again should not appear.

i think you should not wait for the g900 cause even though it has a 5mpx camera and uiq 3.3 it has a smaller screen and i guess less memory, also the camera on the w960 is good enough and the walkman player is awesome

I tried installing Xplore a while back. But it never got installed properly. I don't know why. Now everytime I restart my phone, the setup for Xplore appears, asking if I want to install it. If I install it or cancel it, nothing happens and the phone resumes the restart.

I am not facing any adverse problem regarding this, but the setup is appearing everytime I restart. Anybody know how to solve this?

                                        To Ronald,

Please read the previous comments, this was allready answered. One of the rules that show up in the Posting rules is "Read before you post. Search before you post. There is a big chance that your question is already answered". But to answer this question again, you have to open up ports on your router, if you are using wlan, to make youtube work. Specifically which ports, I do not know, but you can find them by searching google.com. On my router I have just opened all the ports to my w960, and youtube worked after I did this. And I am talking about mobile youtube, that is.
