I have absolutely no problem when watching a movie in my W960i. Its very pleasant to watch a movie in this phone. Big screen and 30fps playback is the next level of mobile entertainment lol

i saw a movie on the ipod video today it was clear but my head started to pain after some time man screen is to small now is the w960i screen bigger and wat about clarity is it better thanks

I'm ok. I just had no time and i got my @ss clapped by my Provider...
My Provider charged me around 320€ for 28Mb !!! I used 3G for 3.5 months and my Provider did not warn me that my bill is getting bigger and bigger! My monthly bills where ~50€ ! But the big bill came 4 months after i signed the contract. So we have 320€ for data charges + 50 normal charge = 370€ + my parents charges (family contract) ...
Now i cannot post on the go lol

Heh, guess it is on the list as supported phone, it's just late and I need to get some sleep, guess I am too sleepy to even be on the computer. Also about the shortcuts, don't think you can add any more then it allready has, but I will see after I get up if there is a way to do it.

Just go ahead and update, it doesn't show it in the list, but when you are going through the upgrade it will have w960 in the program for you to select. I am guessign when you said I found it, it is to the add more shortcuts, so I am not going to share anything about that as I don't have time and am about to head off to sleep.

The W960i cannot play .vob (DVD) files, and so you have to convert them to another supported format.
To rip a DVD movie into your PC you can use the free and easy program "DVD Decrypter".
To convert the movie to mp4 format you can use "Nero Recode" which is included in the "Nero 6, 7 and 8 Ultra Edition", or the "Xilisoft Video Converter".
Or you can try "Clone DVD Mobile"
The best settings for mp4 format are:
1024Kbps video data rate
320x240 resolution (16:9)
128Kbps aac or mp3 audio stereo
29.97 or 30 fps
You can download free&full programs at www.dl4all.com (including Nero, Clone DVD Mobile and Xilisoft)
At www.dotsis.com you can find a DivX Player for UIQ 3.0 devices

I changed the blank shortcut to the working shortcut already. However, I want to add more than that. I want to add new additional shortcuts. It is possible?
The link you gived me, I don't see w960 is in the compatible phone. Should I still need to update it?

hi,I just bought this phone i like it, i know how to use it.It's work very well.i just dont know how to rip DVD to my computer. Do i need to upload any type of software for that or this phone come with it.? When ever i try to open my DVD file it shows kind of error BUP something like that.

Also you have to have the drivers for this phone installed, you should have gotten a cd with your w960, install all the software from the cd. One thing I didn't mention but should have, updating the phone, you will loose everything on the phone, except anything you have on the 8gb storage, but if you have the Sony Ericsson PC Suite for Smartphones installed from the cd you can make a backup of all your stuff.

I am guessing you want to add shortcuts to the shortcut menu that is on the standby screen, if so all you need to do is click on one of the blank icons that say new, then it will give you an option on what you want to add. And this part is a copy from my previous post I made sometime ago, if you searched the posts you could have found it. You need you can go here http://www.sonyericsson.com/cws/support/updateservice/updateservicesoftware/key.DownloadGeneral.SonyEricssonUpdateService_21839?cc=gb&lc=en to get the update service program. When you get that installed just fallow the instructions it provides, they are quite easy to fallow.

You mean stanby screen, and it can't be removed, but in its place you can instead a big walkman shortcut, or a today screen with a small shortcut to walkman. To change it go to the control panel then Device then Standby application.
