For the price, I would say it is worth it, but this depends on where you are buying this phone. You don't need to use the stylus, but I would say you should use it, it makes things much easier and faster, when you get used to it.

I've got a k850 which im not really that happy with prior to the k850 i had a k800 loved it. Until it broke.
I moved onto the navigator 6110 but i prefer SE. I seen at optus there selling the w960 now.
Just wanted to know are they worth there price?
Do i have to use the stylus always? or can i just use my finger?

Should have read teh specifications, it does not state it has a memory flash slot, so you can't expand the 8gb, but I think 8gb is going to be more then enough for you. Yes, you can watch movies on this, even if you couldn't by default, it's a smaprtphone, and as smartphones go you have a choice of downloading application off the internet.

To add to my post below, here is a list that I posted sometime ago, on what things I found out with the new firmware.
1. The menus and a few programs open faster.
2. New game called ssx 3, snowboarding game.
3. Loudness in the headphones is improved and speaker.
4. You can now use C button to delete sms messeges.
5. Camera improvements, seems a bit faster, when taking pictures, and when recording video it's a bit smoother.
6. Video opens faster too.
7. Vibrate option for alarms.
8. And there is one bug, I would call it that, in opera mobile, some links are highlighted with white, or depending on the theme you are using it will be different color.
10. WLAN seems a bit faster.
11. Writing recognitin is a bit smoother and more precise.

If you bought this phone last week, then I think it should have come with the latest firmware. To check click More on the standby screen and check under "Phone:" text to see which version of firmware you have. The latest firmware is CXC162037 R9K009

Update to my post below on commonly asked questions.
Since getting an idea for having a section for commonly asked questions with answers, I decided to do this myself. Below are some of the questions people have asked here and were answered in one way or another.
1. Does this phone have msn, aim, yahoo, etc. messenger?
Answer: No, it has no messenger application, you will need to download a messenger application to this phone, which you can get from the internet. Messenger application that I recommend is fring.
2. Can I record video or take pictures with the front camera?
Answer: As of now this function is not available, you can not do anything alse with the front camera other then make a video call or just see a preview of the video.
3. Can I record phone conversations with this phone?
Answer: As of now this is one of the functions that is not available.
4. I hear this phone lags on some things, is this true?
Answer: Yes, it does lag on some things, the new firmware that came out did make a few things faster, but for example opening up contacts list takes five seconds. There is one workaround for this, leave the contacts list open, or any other application if you need it to open faster next time.
5. Can I watch youtube on this phone?
Answer: Yes, but only mobile youtube as of now.
6. Can the LEDs, that are used for camera flash, be used as a flashlight?
Answer: As of now you can not do this, the only way you could use them as a flashlight is to open the camera, press to take a picture, but instead of pressing it in two times and releasing the button, this time press it in once and hold it.
7. Can I turn on the LEDs while recording video with the camera?
Answer: As of now you can't do this.

Also the w960 has 8gb memory built in, and it also has walkman player, but from what I have seen on other sites, now you can install the walkman player on the P1.

To person below,
open up the time application, then go to More and make sure that Set current Time zone is on your time zone, that is your time zone is first in the list, if not then just select it. Then go to set home time zone and make sure your time zone is selected, then go back to by clicking More again this time go down to Set zone of interest, and also make sure your time zone is first in the list, if not select it. I had the same problem as you did, but after doing all this, it has fixed it, and also the other time zone that was entered by default got deleted.

thanks to whoever that did the FAQ
one more thing, i don't think it has been covered in the previous posts.
I am getting SO confused on the time and location settings. I live in Vancouver and I just want to have Vancouver and no "Hong Kong" or China time or whatever. Can I do that?
Also, my SMS inbox times are all screwed up. It's four hours behind the actual time. Does anyone have this inaccurate sms time, or anyone have a solution?

I'm choosing between this is P1i. Which one is better in your opinion? The only main difference I can tell is qwerty vs regular keyboard.

If you got a question please search the posts first, maybe your question is allready answered, and also it stops people from posting same questions over and over.
I think one function that gsmarena should make is a section for commonly asked questions with answers for each phone.

That function is also not in this phone, don't relly understand then why they used leds, if you can't even have them turned on when capturing video or using it as a flashlight as those are the only benefits of using leds.
