Then why are you here? If you found my last reply confusing then you must daft because theres nothing confusing in it Anyway the W960 lags, its going to be slower than your speedy Java W850, just be prepared thats my advice, i couldn't careless what you get, it would have been sad if someone like you got a N81 or N95-8gb because half the time you talk a load of ish which doesn't always make sense. You go to NOKIA forum and tell us "NOKIA N95-8GB takes you to the next level" WHAT THE F**K IS UP THAT??? Its like you're trying to be Next L. And i laughd so much at the crap you wrote at 5700 Forum!

Remember P990, W950, and M600? They are the reason most networks and COUNTRIES will not take the P1 or W960. SE more reliable? Thats why there are MILLIONS of P990, W950, M600, P1 and W960 customers who had ownd the great P900 and P910 who are complaining at how SE has TOTALY crushed, destroyed and messd up Symbian UIQ with the newer UIQ3 devices (P1 and W960) most people who have owned P910 thnk the W960 is a major embarrasment for the Symbian OS and UIQ UI and yet you say SE are reliable? More reliable than NOKIA? LMAO! NOKIA have stayd faithfull and have given Symbian S60 great hardware and support.

Well said dani! I watch HQ movies on my W960 with (shock horror) NO LAG! As for the phone running slowly - frankly I'm not so impatient that 2 or 3 seconds run time is a major inconvenience, i'd rather have a UI that I get along with. And yeah, SE's are way more reliable than nokia. I've lost track of the amount of nokia phones that vodafone refused to range because of software issues...

hey mr dani you got one of the best phones from the both of the manufacturers.... both have some draw backs but i have used w850 many had problems but i did not guess SE works better.....

hi mr i think you have many misunderstandings with SE phones like as i have seen you have compared n81 and w960 both devices have their respective values. but i would like to tell you some thing which i my self have tested forget about all this two phone....
we all know n91 is known to have one best sounds in earphones....(foget the speakers pls) but thats a crap as i have my self used it for more than 6 months but what found.... does have sound (amplification) but no quality..... now these two are different things i hope you know sound without quality is..... i brought HPM-85 head set for my phone that time but i just got amplification that can make me deaf but no quality after few months i brought w660 which i am still using. dear friend. i do miss amplification but now i can hear crystal clear sound and thats quality i use same HPM-85 still i do have HPM-70 with me but what i meant to say is NOKIA guys have amplification but no sound quality.
and when it come to w960 its best music phone even you cannot deny it..... i know you are nokia lover still hope you undestand and respect all the companies as ever one as some speciallity with them.

1st of all you have obviously NEVER OWNED a smartphone,the CPU matters. Put W960 and N81 side by side let them both run some programmes, lets say 5programmes: Music Player, Web browser with a big page open, a Game, an IM app and Quickoffice. The W960 would slow down whilest N81 can run around 10programmes without slowing down. Also when watching HQ movies on both you will notice lag on W960 that the N81 never gets.
LOL WALKMAN TECHNOLOGY? There IS NO WALKMAN TECHNOLOGY LMAO! Walkman is simply a BRANDING like Vodafone. LOL quit being a numpty SE and SONY are seperate companies, do you watch the stock market? Both have TWO DIFFERENT CEOs and both are BASED in SEPERATE CONTINENTS! SONY in Japan and SE in Sweeden, SE only buy branding rights,the WALKMAN and Cyber-Shot name are bought by SE and thats it NO HARDWARE. By the way SONY also have to buy Carl Zeiss, quit embarrasing yourself Dani. Further more SE had to get Sagem to help them with their Java phones and Motorola to help them with Symbian UIQ which SE has messd up. AND NOW SE have had to let HTC BUILD THE XPERIA X1 so REALY SE phones are made by diff manufacturers ANYWAY! Theres nothing wrong with companies buying components to make their products superior thats why NOKIA, APPLE and SAMSUNG are doing so well! LOL you make me laugh Dani with your old W850 and 6233.

Now day s.e walkman uses bluetooth earphone. wasted time the people who peoples still use 3.6mm jack.. its outdated guy. if ur ph have bluetooth but still jack 3.6mm. just. throw to the rubbish..

they Hire TOSHIBA and Carl Ziess
to do the the Work for them.....
Sony has Cyber-Shot and Walkman Technology!
so whenever NOKIA needs a Muic Phone, first place they go is TOSHIBA for a AUDIO CHIP ! LOL
and for Camera theyl go to Carl Ziess.
SONY just go to Cyber-Shot and WALKMAN

Yeah but the TRUTH is the TRUTH !
SE have Better Sound Quality and Better Music Playback in all of their Phones, even the Cyber-Shot Phones have Top-Quality Sound!
were as Nokia kind off Put a 3.5mm jack and say it has good quality when it isnt really
Phones like N95 and N95 8GB and N81 8GB have Good Sound but then their all different as in N95 has a Good Camera but small Stereo Speakers, N81 not so good Camera but then BIG Stereo Speakers!
SE's just have TOP Notch Sound Quality in all of the phones even Cyber-Shot Phones.

I get the prize of owning the best phone AND boasting about it to people who own the rival that lost to it, kinda like what im doing now. . . . .
Don't get me wrong,the W960 is a great device, i'd take a W960 over an Apple iPhone ANY DAY! But what gets me is how the W960 owners started saying its better than N81 yet i have tested the former and own the latter and i knew from 5months ago that we would get reviews like this proving that the N81 is better, im glad Eldar now pointed it out VERY WELL it should shut up some of those SE Fanboys who flood some of the NOKIA forums and it SHOULD show SE that they should implement 3.5mm jacks, remote controls, better sound, and full support.

How could you , it's down to opinion.
I don't even use my phone for music.lol
I've just been trying to convince the other 2 half wits that point.
I made my choice and I love it, I'm beginning to wonder if they do.

Nope , what I suggest is you buy a phone because you like it.
Just like everyone else does .
Don't fill your days on trying to convince people and yourself the phone you've 'chosen' is better than the phone they've chosen.
Stop concerning yourself about the difference in numbers between the parties Nokia and SE have .
That would be what I suggest mate.

Im moving to MTN soon, ive had it with Vodacom's crap, they get phones late THEN they brand them with VLive firmware,thank goodness i bought my current phone from Cell C. MTN some great deals.
Sorry but W960 is not a piece of art, i suggest you go try a SE P990, and W950 then use your W960, you'll then realise that W960 is just a W950 with a bit more RAM, and a camera.

The N81 doesn't have a double slide, all the controls for Multimedia are right under the screen with tactile feedback which is one of the reasons why N81 is better than W960. Why get an i-Pod? The N81, N91 and Samsung i450 have the better sound quality. Oh and NO creaks on my N81 im not rough with my phones.

If you're trying to connect via wap then you need to contact your mobile provider for the configuration settings. If it's wifi, contact your ISP. I'm pretty happy with the camera myself. I woulda liked the option to use the LED as a torch but that's nothing major...
