so d'ya think that n95 8g is better than this phone? coz im planning to buy this one. my wifey has the n95 8g, so i know how it sounds. but i dont know how the music of the w960 compares to n95 8g.
when my wifey bought n95 8g, i dont feel any excitement at all as compared to when i bought the w800i 2 years ago. this time, i feel really excited about this w960. =)

Keep in Mind though. N82 is a Imaging Device. only compared with K850i.
N95 8GB is closest to this W960i.

i know this phone is a music phone, but the fact is, its music capabilities are less than the n82's/
so tbh the n82 is a better music phone, without all the walkman rubbish over it!
give me one reason why the n82 is worse at playing music, then ill list why its better.

Has anybody else realised that you can skip a track (forwards of back) if you hold down the volume keys? this includes when the phone is locked (you can also alter the volume by pressing on the keys for a short time when locked)
@tsepz, i agree with your statement. N82 & W960i cannot be compared N82 is one of the best camera phones, and w960i is one of the best music phones.

If you check the existing shortcuts, one of them is for tones and alerts. You can turn vibrating alerts off for each type of alert (call, message etc) from here. Then, when you access silent mode (press the volume button, tick the silent mode check box at the bottom then press done), you'll have no alerts and no vibrations.
2nd of all, to lock the keypad, simply press and hold your back button for a second or 2. Hope that helps...

I've seen somewhere that this phone can have the interface like iphone with some sort of third party application. Do you knw the name of tht or the way to do so?
I don;t like the iphone, but jst for fun i want to have its interface for a few days. But i must say, no other phone is better than this Devil.

The W960 and N82 are two TOTALY different phones. The W960 is a Music focused PDA Phone and the N82 is a Imaging Camera focused Smartphone with a few more Multimedia features than the W960, like TV-Out, Xenon Flash, Accelerometer (motion sensor) and some others. It all depends on what you want, due to the fact that these two can't realy be compared.

Hi, I just bought this phone a couple of days back. Though it took a while to get used to my first smart phone, I'm enjoying it now!
I have a couple of doubts:
1. I know 'Profiles' are not there in this phone. I need to use a completely silent mode (no ring, no vibration). Is there any way I can create a shortcut for this purpose or can you tell me the fastest way to do this, frequently.
2. How the hell do I press the Lock button on the '*' keypad?? Lol! Any way to place a shortcut to Lock the phone?

i used update service to update my phonem n it was updated nicely, but last night, i was deleting some useless things in my phones, n by mistake i deleted the "private" folder. and surprisingly, all the updates are gone.
SSX game is gone, i installed opera mini, thts gone...but fortunaltly the phone is still working Xcellent....!!!
