To ejad,

This question was allready answered, go back a few pages, and look for the answer. Had to give you this reply, instead of giving you the straight answer is because people are asking same questions and I am sick of having to answer them again and again. I am going to have to combine most of the questions that were allready answered with the answer into one text and post it here.

First of all the Nokias with 3.5mm jack ALSO come with an extension that has a full remote control (Play, Pause, Skip/Next, Skip/Previous, Call, Volume and Lock) and also has a 3.5mm jack so its better by far, that has pointed out to me that you have never seen the N95, N95-8GB, N81 and N82 headset.
        2nd The N95, N95-8GB, N82, N93, N93i and E90 are all using DualCore (CPU-332mhz and GPU-220mhz).
3rd if you read the link i posted below you'd see it mentioned that all the UIQ3 devices so far use the PowerVR MBX Lite GPU, this includes W960, and it should be clear to you that even the Multimedia and 3D Graphics Processing capabilities of W960 is NO DIFFERENT from the 3yearold P990, the WHOLE CHIPSET is the same.
4th Why do you keep repeating SSX? Thats a game my old W900 could run.
Ive used the P1 and W960 side by side and also used a W950 and i can tell you now the Chipsets are EXACTLY the same.
Please tell me can you perform ONE HANDED use with your W960 all day?
We have 3rd Party document viewers and editors now.

As for you getting flash lite 3, we will soon too with the commercial release of opera 9.5, which a much better browser than the nokia web browser. But its ok, u can buy it separatley from their website for s60. suppose u still dont have a touch screen, but hey, its still great.
Side point, i advise you to check out skyfire, by far the best browser at there, soon to be coming to s60. Support for ALL web content: java, ALL flash, ajax. pearl, C++ etc.
And Tsepz, i cant find anywhere that says the w960 has a lite version at all. only says m600.hmm. i will look into this further, so i may be wrong, but bear with me.

              Thank you for ur comments!
Firstly, They provide in the package a converter for 3.5mm jack, which is fully usable and allows u to use the microphone with any headset which i think is really use ful. Id rather have an extra length of wire and be able to use the microphone and hang up/pause music button than not have one at all. This converter works with all headphones so no probs there.
You can also get cheap bluetooth 3.5mm jacks £30, so dont see the issue tbh.

Secondly, the processors. I havent heard of the "dual core" and in fact have activly searched for it but not found it. It WAS clocked at 332Mhz, whereas the W960 only at 220Mhz. However, i have seen no problems relating to processor speeds in the w960, so i dont think it really needs the extra processing speeds, although i admit that the n95 is better in this aspect, though doesnt have dual cores at all, only 332Mhz.

Thirdly, the screen in effect is no better. Slightly larger at 2.8" compared to 2.6" true, but lower pixel density, and while it has 16 million colours, they simply arent needed, as the eye can only resolve 258. So in effect, the screen are pretty much the same.

Fouthly, camera is better, no trouble there, but with the new firmware update, only the pixel count is better, and 3.2 is fine for most shots, just not A3 print outs. I have a sony cybershot, and no phone can compete or even come close. at all. it is soooooooo much better. 8.1 mp btw :)

Fifthly, i personally find the UIQ OS vastly superior to the S60, it is much more helpful. For instance if i reject a call, a note will pop up asking if i want to make reminder to follow up the call. Its those little things that make it great. I love UIQ, ive used s60, and UIQ is so much nicer, u need to try it to understand fully... great OS.

Sixthly, it has 3G. I have no need for HSDPA, as it is more limited in reception area. True it is faster (3.6mbps) , but i dont think i want to be paying o2 £9 a second for my data really. i dont use internet on o2 much at all really.

Seventhly, for £50, there is a GPS headset adapter with software which adds GPS to phone with support for applications.

Eithly, i dont need infra red.

              **********************

Now why the W960 is better:
Touch screen is amazing. It is very much worth it. Id swap GPS and a 5mp camera for a touch screen anyday.

Thinner, neater, more stylish design in my opinion, and as there is a touch screen, the key board isnt cluttered. with the N95 8gb, i found it real hard to text or navigate: no room for my fingers. I always pressed other keys.

You can view word documents?! no way, that is so cool. Pity you can't edit them like all UIQ users can with included software. Oh, and touch screens make it so easy.

              Walkman rocks my socks. :)

New firmware update speeds everything up and fixes a number of simple bugs, and installs a new SSX game, which is great.

              Hand writing recognition is great.

ill be back with more later.

                To Pointless,

You have people asking questions about nokia phones, which should be asked in the nokia phone section. You also have people comparing this phone to other nokia phones and they have actually not even used this phone.

                  @nerman
its fine if theyre comparing products, just give me a chance to rebut, or these forums are so boring compared to a little debating.
                  :)

                    To some people below,

This is a section for w960 phone not n95 or some other nokia phone. There is a reason people picked this phone over a nokia phone, if they wanted a nokia they would have bought it. I urge the moderators to delete those comments.

                        To Roel,

Don't think they would replace it, although it would be nice of them, but they are not going to do that, since fixing it is going to cost them way less. All they would have to do is replace the phone cover with a new one. But I wish every company was like logitech, had problem with my mouse and they just gave me another one free of charge and I got to keep my old one.

i like tpsez, he is just honest and he owns a w960 (i think) and is still quick to point out where its beaten.

but honestly can anyone here poitn out one thing which is better on the w960 than the n95 apart from battery and size?

N95,N95-8GB,N93,N93i,N82,E90 PowerVR MBX Full version: http://www.symbian-freak.com/reviews/n95/n95_review_04.htm
Now the W960,P1,P990,M600,W950 PowerVR MBX Lite Version: http://my-symbian.com/main/index7.php?p=4817
Need i say more? Thats the cold hard truth of the hardware, if the N95 had the Walkman3.0 player in it, it would actualy run it better than the W960 itself.
At the end of the day N95 is able to handle 2D/3D processing plus phone and multimedia processing a lot better, eg. N95 will run a 30fps VGA PLUS 2500kbps video a lot better than a W960.

                                  there arent any!?

we're getting flash lite 3 in our browsers next week too!! the new update also makes the battery even longer.

the battery actually has a 50mah higher capacity than the w960.

Both N95 and W960 use the PowerVR MBX 2D/3D GPU. The W960 is using the PowerVR MBX Lite Version though. Heres a link to the details of the N95's version: http://www.symbian-freak.com/reviews/n95/n95_review_04.htm
