dani how does it beat the crap out of the n95 in music performance?? how??
the n95 at a normal headphones socket. it can therfore be universally used with all the ipod accesories and car stereo. we cant be messing around with stupid adapters which your going to lose!!
the quality on the n95 is simply outstanding too. it really is.
i cant see how it "beats the crap" out of it?
it cant even let you use your own headphones. slight flaw right at the beginning

well sir pointless.
my argument is.
the w960 is a music phone right, well why doesnt it come with a standard headphone jack? its so sony erricson can charge you to use their speaker products.
next argument. well the w960 uses a 220mhz proccessor, well the n95 is "dual core" in effect because it uses 2 processors, one at 269mhz, and one at 332mhz. The n95 has far more potential in this respects and it shows when it can run such graphical games. like tpez said below, the n95 has a fully fledged graphics engine.
right the screen on the n95 is slightly better too.
also the camera is better, and the video quality is. quite frankly the video quality is a joke on this phone.
the n95 runs on symbiab s60, whilst the w960 runs on uiq or whatever it is. there are far more applications avaliable for s60. this doesnt necesarrily mean s60 is better, but its just more practical.
the n95 has HSDPA and edge which means its mroe flexible connectivity wise.
the n95 has gps. i dnt care if you dont think its any good, it still has it over the w960. s60 applications can utilise the receiver too.
others: the n95 has infra red port (still quite useful, the n95 is a tv remote). it also can read pdf's and word, powerpoint and excel documents.

just please N95 is a great phone il agree but not everybody needs all those features in N95
3.5mm jack? SE W960i has it in the WALKMAN Adaptor plus Walkman earphones:P (Unbeatable)
N-Gage? im sorry iv got a PSP for that:P
Fast Processor? Why would a company make a slow phone? SE Phones are always Fast and Stable!

Yay, this forums interesting again! I dont think the N95 is a lot better than the w960i, i think its more where your priorities are. The N95 is better is some areas, but the w960i is better in some areas. Do expand ur argument into why the N95 is better, i will enjoy breaking it down and rebutting it. :)
For now, can i just say that they play at the same frame rate as far as i know. W960i plays at 30fps, which is faster than the eye can resolve, so its fine.
Secondly N-Gage? firstly i dont have time for games really, but secondly, in the newest firmare update we have a full SSX snowboarding game, which is pretty sick apparently (update not available in UK yet). W960i also has an Open SE accelerator? i ithnk. Next_Level knows the realy name, i cant remember.
And as for headphone jack? N95 has it on the side, not the most conveniant place, and the w960i has a converter so no worries man.
Looking forward to ur side of the debate :)

Yep,it all boils down to Hardware, both the N95 and W960 use a similar GPU 3D Engine THE DIFFERENCE being that the N95 chipset has the full version of the GPU and the W960 is using a Lite version which means its a lot weaker than the N95 in most Multimedia (3D Gaming, Video Recording, Video Playback, Web Browsing Flash sites etc. . . .).

the n95 is unbeatable for entertainment because its got n gage!!! and a proper headphone jack!!! and plays videos of a higher framerate, so no dani!!

To Sir Nerman,
Feel bad for your part. I've been to the authorized repair shop and they said that it may be the vibrator that sounds when I shake it. If I'll experience any problem with my phone, i'll just drop it to them to fix the problem. The phone is still funtional as of now and I have no problem at all!!! The only thing that makes me worry is that rattling sound which is asymptomatic.!! Anyway, I hope your phone will be replace brand new!!!
Still, I'm a loyal SE fan desite of what happenned!!!

Don't know what their policy is about repairs, but I think if they open it up, eather brake it or don't fix it, they are going to be responsible for replacing the phone or fixing it to a working state. If they are certified by sony ericsson then they should know what they are doing. From what I got is that the repair dealer is close by where you live, that is actually cool if that's is the case. I haven't called sony ericsson yet, but I am sure that I don't have a repair dealer anywhere close, so I think I am going to have to be shipping mine.

Yah your right, but when i go to the authorized dealer; the warranty covers only the repair, they wont replace my phone instead. They want to open it and see whats wrong with my phone. I don't what to do... Will i let them to open it????? I'm scared because i bought it even though its expensive... Please help me decide on my problem.. Will I let them to open my phone?? They insist that they'll just repair it?? anyway thanks for the help bro!!! Godbless

Don't see a reason why they wouldn't cover that under warranty. With me it's a bit different since the screen got scratched, and sony ericsson, actually a certified repair facility, has to determine if the scratches were my fault or a defect in the phone.

OMG... Feel sad about that! how i wish the warranty will cover it!? Its been 2 weeks, that i use this phone. Just read some previous post and tried it in my phone. Kazzzaaaamm it rattles. I'll just go to the service center and let it be fix. I hope it wont affect the phones function when they'll open it there...

I see. Mine has cracking sound too at the edge of the cover, somewhat annoying when texting at night. It sounds horrible.... Lastly, does your phone rattles when you shake it? Mine do rattles when i shake it. I just encounter this issue when i read some previous opinions on this forum.. I didn't drop it at all. The care center near us said that they'll just repair it instead, I hope this sound won't make a problem in the future.

I have contacted sony ericsson using their form on their site, and I did get a response. I was told that they needed to look at the phone before they can tell me if they would cover it under the warranty, and that I would have to call them if I wanted that to happen. Since the scratches on the screen are quite noticable when using the phone I am going to have to give them a call. Also don't know if this is same problem as yours, but on my w960 the back cover for the battery, when I press it a little arround the corners and edges, I can hear it and feel it, how you would say, cracking. Don't know if that's how it's supposed to be, but it certainly wasn't like that when I bought it. I could actually use the phone like this except if the screen didn't have the two big scratches, that are quite noticeable when using the phone. I have not made my order with invisibleshield.com yet since I want to see what sony ericsson is going to do first. If they do not cover this under their warranty, then I am going to have to see what to do, since like I said allready the scratches are quite big and get in the way when using the phone, and also make using the stylus a bit harder. I have to find time next week to call sony ericsson and talk with them about this. If it does happen that they cover this and fix and replace the screen cover, then I am going to go ahead and order my screen protecter.

What happen to your warranty inquiry? Did they honor it? As i read on previous opinions. My phone rattle when I shake it and its kind'a spongy at the back. I also emailed them regarding my inquiry!
About invisibleshield. Have you given them the dynamics of the phone??? If you have ordered your screen shield, please let me know.... How i wish they will accept international buyers like me!!!

The n95, has more features, faster processor, and actually the camera isn't that much better then the one in w960, although it's 5mp. But I gree what the person said below, some of the extra features you get with n95 are not that important to some people. But if you really wanted a phone to use it as gps device to get directions, I think w960 would be better, as it has good battery life, and you can also get a bluetooth gps receiver and use it with w960. From what I have heard from people that the built in gps in the n95 is not that great. But still, stop with all this fighting. You all sound like kids, but maybe some of you are.
