My w960 restarts wen i use walkman 4 more dan 40mins.dos ny1 hv dis prob?n da sound quality is not as gud as i expected.

Am still running some tests and familiarization for my w960i before i commission it into full use. I am a demanding business user that requires a phone that doesnt crack under pressure. Previously used PalmTreo650 for the longest (about 3 years) and HTC Tytn2 (didnt even last two weeks!) and not until i have found this w960i that has all fully loaded in it.
Therefore that this w960i must pass my demanding executive and business requirements in order to stay in my book...and its looking real good! So far it impresses me!
Going to go into more testing of this phone in days to come!

Ooooh, One q for next_lvl, in the phone storage under the 8G, are we able to rename the "NO NAME" to something else? It doesnt sound that nice like that...should give my w960i a name though! hahahah

I know there are features for free in the cd when you buy this item.. you know a program that supports dvd for you to watch thru this phone? it will make the size of a movie smaller so you can put it in your phone. have you tried it? coz I wanna know if you have encountered problems while watching..

Hey all. I think this is one of the most happening phones I've ever come across. Been eyeing it ever since Nov, haven't got it though :(. How do ya'll find the speakers though?

The N82 has the better graphics chip since it has the PowerVR MBX GPU plus OpenGL ES built-in and you can now download the plug-in for it whereas the W960 has a PowerVR MBX Lite version with OpenGL ES.

So is it true that u can't create ur own equalizer preset??well thats bad. I can't think of one single reason why SE won't give this option. I am pissed.

I just bought this phone, Awesome, Off the hook. Nokia thats it btw me and u. Sony is really taking the lead. Great Interface. No hanging. Easy to use. Loud Speaker. Great Music Player. Great Camera better than N95 i gurantee. And 100 dollars cheaper than N95-2 Video is not that great but over all ill give it a 9 out of ten.

Thats right ma man Pointless!
The W960i has the OpenGL SE Accelerator which can handle heavy 3D games easily... But it needs an Firmware Update to fix some bugs and performance. Although the W960i as a very new phone, has some bugs, the games play faboulous, but sometimes the FPS drops without a reason. So SE should release asap a Firmware Update to take the mobile gaming experience to tha f*ukin' next level....
For those who aint know much about the OpenGL.... the PC game Counter Strike has OpenGL graphics.....Just go to the Graphics Settings menu of this game and see for yo self!

You have to create a Wi-Fi account and Internet Group from tha shizzle control panel, then search and add the network to tha created Wi-Fi group. Don't forget to put the right Router password to tha Wi-Fi account

There is always one person looking for trouble in these forums, having just made peace with tsepz_n81, here comes another person who just needs to flout how "good" his phone is.
Firstly, if i have 3G, when do i need to use HSDPA? it is not that much faster in practise, most networks currently don't support it, and if i were to use it, i would work up a huge data bill. 3G is perfect for me thanks.
Secondly, this phone allows headsets do be plugged in with the SUPPLIED converter, in anycase, the provided headphones are much better than standard Nokia headphones.
3rdly, edge? i haev 3G and regular conectivity, and seeing as i dont fancy going to the States im fine with that.
4thly, I have a 8.1 megapixel cybershot camera, which is sooo much better than any cameraphones, u simply cannot imagine, i dont neeed a 5 megapixel camera in my phone, 3 megapixels is enough to print high quality A4 sheets.
5thly, this phone is UIQ. It is another version of Symbian operating system more suited for a touchscreen. So, although it does not have as many apps, it has enough good ones, and enough games.
6thly, It has (as i said below) GPS for £50 in a headset, which is a more elegant solution than bluetooth, and i commendSE for it. So for all intents and purposes, for £50, it has GPS.
7thly, u obvously haven;t read the specs for the w960i. It has a open graphics accelorator? is that right next_level? needless to say, he will correct me. that is a dedicated gaming, so that aint an advantage.
Advantages of W960i (not including above):
Touch screen
Larger screen
more stylish (in mine, and lots of other peoples opinion)
8 gig memory
decent messaging software
The walkman player is AMAZING.
dedicated music keys.
built in word doc editor
decent build quality

This phone doesnt have GPS built in. HOWEVER it can get GPS with a headset costing £50 (or cheaper external bluetooth recievers which are a bit bigger). Personally, I think this phone is much better than the N82: In my opinion it looks better, music is much better, touch screen! easy to use, built in business software, thin, great software... apart from the camera, i don't see how its better tbh except auto screen rotate and a faster processor. If u don't care about the camera i'd definitley go for this

My SE W960i FINALLY ARRIVED! Yahhooooo! Yipppppppeeeeeeeeee!

Yup, everything u describe/explain about the W960i is exactly what it is on the set!
Previously i used Palm Treo650 and HTC Tytn2 and this both cannot compare to the awesome features on the SEw960i! This is THE phone!
My w960i arrived last friday as scheduled and am still spending time to explore da phone and hasnt been put to actual use yet! Theres so many things to learn and do! Just plain awesome! Yep, as some forumers said that its kinda different to use at first but when you get the hang out of it, its getting to be a breeze! Its a jewel!
Still running tests on it so far..enjoying every bit of it....have tested on wlan, browser, walkman, bluetooth transfer, bluetooth pairing of handsfree, themes, battery lasting test, organiser, radio, track id, voice recorder, sms and so on. Its only the beginning....there are so much more areas to explore!
Yup, feels great in my hand too! the six months is finally OVER!!!
Gonna gradually set the phone according to my own preference as i go and gonna push it to the limit!

Uno Wen I Have Enabled WLAN And Searched For My Router And Hav Connected To It, Do I Just Go Back To Main Menu And Go On The Web Icon To Use The WLAN?
