by the time 5mp walkman will be on there will be other phones with 8mp .. so u sould change ur phone and dont wait for 2 years for nothing

FFS iPhone is NOT a smart phone!!!
It is a mediaplayer with meager phone capabilities.

well...as a start...i think this phone is great..i'm comparing it to the nokia N95.
-the W960 has more battery life
-the N95 has 5Mpixel camera with 30 fps video
-the W960 deoesn't have infra.
-the W960 doesn't support HSDPA (fastest speed)
-8 GB memory for the W960 ( WOW ) :-)
-although W960 is still to be released, it has Symbian OS 9.1 while N95 already has Symbian OS 9.2 ??!!!!!
-N95 has 16 million colors..while W960 has 256K only.
-W960 has a touch screen, while N95 doesn't.
-W960 has polyphonic 40 channels, while N95 has 64 channels.
so, really i want to get one of these two mobiles but i can't makeup my mind on one.
in many ways, i think the N95 is much better and more better specs. but it has this strange battery problem
it lasts for 5 to 6 hours only, while the W960 can last to 9 hours talk time.

Pretty disappointed with this phone...
The reactions of the OS are kind of sluggish just as P990i, P1 and the rest. (in fact it's absolutely the same OS - same layout, same functions).
The camera is modest nowadays when there are 5Mpx phones out there, and the QVGA (320x240) movie recording is outright lame... took some pictures and videos and I'm not impressed at all...
Moreover, the back light of the keypad 'bleeds' around the edges of the keys, giving the impression of a poorly finished product...
Well, it was only a prototype, let's hope that Sony will correct some of the issues until its official launch.

This phone better come in under USD 400 or its toast. Given the price cut today to the iphone, this mobile is an iphone killer no more....
I like SE phones but I believe Apple has set the bar for pricing. Nobody will expect a smart phone to cost more than 400 bucks anymore....

why SE makes use of only WiFi "b" standard in all its handsets, not just W960. "g" standard which is of higher speed should be included

it is incredible people that think that sony use in their point and shoot camera carl zeiss or in nokia phones, jajaja if that was real a simple camera or phone whit carl
zeiss will cost like... 999$
carl zeiss aprove the cuality of the glases and put their signature, its like panasonic and leica

well it seems like a very good phone but i wouldn't give away my k800 for this. i'll be waiting for a 5 Mpixeli Walkman phone. Anyway SE RULLZ !!

I really like SE phones and this one looks really great ....the features,design, everything just great! I would really like to know when it will be released and what the price would be like though.

ops dont under estimate the power of CARL ZEIS optics. remember SONY is using their lens in thier DIGI cams. now the its time for the n95 crown as the king of cam. watch out n95 is also good walkman phone in addition of the n95 8 gigs and some mem card release a 4/8 gigs compatible with the n95 original. im sure the n95 will also excel in terms in music. thats one phone vs the world of phones. not to mention other features that n95 supports like gps,symbian and of course we all know GREAT VIDEO CAM.=) peace yo.

w8t......why is the K850 more expensive than the W960...... in a site....K850 is sold for $760 and the W960 is sold less than $600?!?!?!!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! and when i read the K850 vs N95...i think nokia bribed them or its just entirely unfair...come on nokia with a good camera....no way!!!!!!!!!!
