After thought and reading at som forums. I have come to the conclution that maybe HSDPA and GPS is not needed. As someone pointed out, how often are you realy lost and when walking and not in a car the GPS have a hard time getting a fix on you and GPS drains alot of power and if in a car a real GPS unit has better fatures and cost less. so maybe one can wait a year or two longer whith gps. And HSDPA(Turbo 3G)is nice but don't have much coverage here in sweden so maybe that to can wait for a year or two, besides UMTS (3G) at 380kbit/s is good enough for most mobile situations and is cheaper to get a good flat rate price on (14$/month) here in sweden. That only leaves the resolution of the screen to complain about. But resolution is secoundary to screen size to me. So all in all I think the device is spot on right now but that it will be obsolete within one to two years.
That leaves me with the question p1 or w960, both are identical in allmost all features only that p1 has querty keyboard(that some like and others dont) and p1 is bundeled with GPS module and has a more buissniess look to it, allso p1 got the card slot in stead of huge internal memory. The w960 has 8GB of internal memory but no card slot, and it has a more youthfull look with its black mobile look, and its software and hardware is designed for a nicer music experiance. Allso bondeled with stereo bluetooth handsfree.
You can get a 4GB memory card for 70$ in sweden. And the 8GB is on its way out. The P1 is sold right now here for 650$. The gui must be possible to update to w960 look later with a hack or something beacuse its the same hardware. I dont know what a bluetooth headset woll cost but guessing 150$ guessing 100$ for 8GB card. So total cost would be 900$ or something like that. Or of one is satisfyed with a 4GB card and regular handsfree it would be 720$ but at least you would get it right now.
So any input on if you think one should wait or take a p1?

Thanks for the memory info guys. Really liked this phone, so will the huge internal memory be an issue, i mean as in affecting the performance of this device.

This phone would be "the ultimate phone" if it only had 640x480 screen and hsdpa (and maybe gps).
Still think i will buy it though if it is around 700$.
Hmm.. good thing its not released yet som maby "the ultimate phone" is annonced before I waste my money.

It should actually be 8GB (a Capital B), or 8 GigaBytes. This would be the same amount of space on a Flash device or a Hard drive.

woosh, phones typically don't have hard drives, they have flash memory which acts as the hard drive. So 8GB flash memory means 8GB of space for your music, video and other files.

thise phone is going to be available in augost or december? in sonyericsson.com it says its going to come out in december ?>

the fone cost is about 700 US dollars not more than it my brother is manager in SE company so he has the fone but not for sale only for personal use.

flash memory (like memory cards/usb drives) means no moving parts, solid state, embedded on phone vs hard drive which has moving parts cos it spins when in use (like the ones in your pc/laptop)

y duz nokia\apple or anyone hav 2 go finger SE.... YOu see what happens!! u see what happens Lebowski! This phone combines the usage of an apple with a normal Phone + a PDA.. I dunno y anyone wud need any device apart from this one in their pocket.!! PlZ SE be considerate on the pricing.. dont price it outside reach!!
