nick, 26 Jul 2008actually to the guy below, lithium ion batteries like to be... moreyep Nick is correct. The ions want charge to be kept there, if you do the whole Totaly Emptying then full recharging way it may destroy or shorten the ion batteries life time.
Anyway off to pick up my new HTC TouchDual now. :-)

Plz Help...
Whenever i try to access a site via WLAN, it shows "could not connect to remote server"...,
I asked this question before also n someone told me to open the ports for your w960i using a computer, can anyone pls help me out with this!!!

Tru dat man.definitely.dont compare pc to nokia.as a matter of fact SE has better interface and more ease of use and more options that allow u to make use of ur machine works.just like pc unlike mac.k.
Secondly for d dude that needs to replenish his battery.ur battery life isnt over.its just that u charge ur phone regularly so u sissified ur phone(ur battery became sissy.)do this tho i guarantee it works.charge ur phone to d max then use it for normal everyday usage but dont charge it.till it depletes completely and the phone shuts off.if ur a bit restless at d end of ur battery level u can switch on flashlight and play music and use some other program at d same time.dat deplete ur battery pretty quickly.ok now after ur phone shuts off just connect it to d charger and switch d phone on.and leave it to charge completely.even more than completely leave it a bit in charger.anywho this technique is guaranteed man.u shud repeat it a couple of times to rejuvinate ur battery to d fullest.
One thing tho,if ur battery doesnt improve with this technique, then u should consider buyin a new one.coz this phone should play at least 27 hours of music per charge.k.
I hope this info is useful to everybody on this site.coz it works.dont ask me how but it just does.k.probably something to do wid restorin full capacity of ionizin the lithium in the battery... Just a wild guess.

@nick,leave them to tell truth dude they will not listen to u, they walkman and cyberchots lovers r just like apple ipod or mac lover they dont wanna hear the truth all decent mineded people know that creative is better than ipod in sound and functions and a pc kicks mac in all dept just like nokia n and e series r better than sony w,k or p series, just because of good looking interface mac and SE phones cant beat PC and nokia, look what nokia has done with series 60 and see how SE made uiq to die its own death, give nokia uiq, it will be on par to series 60 becvause they use same plateform only uiq is touchscreen based.to me nokia makes series 60 king of mobiles phone operating system and due to SE uiq is approching its death. @dani, know u owned k700i toooo damn dont tell to many lies mate remember in 6233 forum i used to say that sometimes i love k700i and sometimes i hate it u never said u owned one and know lol be straight mate.

Savin, 24 Jul 2008well i have been using the w960i for about a month now m ve... moreTry getting the display brightness level down a little bit to around 35%. That should make the battery last longer and the screen will still be quite easily visible.

well i have been using the w960i for about a month now m very much pleased with the touchscreen and the walkman player is simply amazing but the battery is a bit of a letdown i listen 2 music a lot the battery just abt squeezes abt 1 day only.
Rest the camera is good and the sound output is great.

yes u can use ones finger to control the phone, u can activate all options but it's hard if u have big fingers like mine

I'm thinking of buying this phone, it has everything i need, and it will be my first SE :D
..I'm not much of a mobile expert, so I'd appreciate your help. I was wondering whether the touch screen by time will get damaged or won't work properly..and whether if the phone itself is easy to break if it slipped off my hand or something like that..the phone is not really cheap so i want to make sure it's reliable and strong so i can use it for at least for a few years..

qurious, 23 Jul 2008pls does the touchscreen interface work using one's fingers... moreThe touch screen interfack works great with fingers. You can totally get away without having to pull out the stylus. Just make sure you change the default view of menu items to "grid view" instead of "list view".

I am truly pissed and amazed at 'comments' on this blog.folks just keep running their mouths about nokia and SE generally and whos better ,whose bad and all what not bashing them brands .you guys are truly reducing the value or worth of this blog.i guess the purpose here is to give your views on SE w960 phone based on your user experience so that folks that have problems with the phone could get some tips/help or to assist curious and undecided folks like me make up their minds about buying the phone.
All i am saying is pls guys lets stick to the point here which is SE W960 not some general nokia/SE bashing competition.

the old ones e.g N70 and N-Gage were just annoying becuase they were slow and laggy
