By the way, yes U can. Just go to organizer-> File manager-> music->(highlight the song) options-> use as-> message.

no periodic alert to text messages. if you dont hear the first brief note you have to keep checking the phone to see if you have mail icon showing.

If talk about performance, when you do multitask or browse music while playing the music, the phone is REAL slow. It's feel like you are pushing an one-leg turtle to run. sound quality is very close to SONY WALKMAN ;D
