completely confused, should i buy or not, worst part is i dont have a service centre in my country, if the phone goes cuckoo on me, then i m screwed i guess, then have to send back the country where i bought it from (most likely uae thinking). plse give me honest opinion if i should go for it or no? some here i guess aare unfortunate for getting the faulty phones and some dont have problems at all, so its like a chance i might take,

There are some "anti sonyericsson" people or say fanboys of other companies who are jealous and write crap. Dont worry about the phone. Its the BEST WALKMAN PHONE.

Can also relate to one of Billys faults, forgot to mention earlier, in that it freezes up and/or switches off now and again, heard that too from an independant source.
Guys, dont get me wrong, i`m not writting this too bad mouth the phone, i think this phone is one of the finest around, love it, just trying to get to the bottom of why i have the problems that i do. 3 times the same fault, with 2 seperate phones, possibly, a 3rd on its way!!!????

Unless these problems were caused by your own mishandling of the phone!

Whatever you wrote simply shows that you came here just to bash this product. You have tried each and every bad thing to write that you can. No wonder you might have taken a lot of time to think what are the bad things you can write.
Sorry but you are faking it. Go to the History of comments and you would get to know that whatever you wrote is totally unique. Ofcourse every single phone of different companies has its set of problems but here you are trying to fabricate the things and you are trying your best to bash this phone.
Let me tell you I have this phone from december.
I HAVE NEVER EXPERIENCED ANY PROBLEMS EVEN SLIDER IS GOOD TOO. Thats the different thing that most of the work is done without opening the slider plus I use the slider gently. Never had any problem with PC Connectivity. Do install pc suite to install drivers for phone mode.
8GB Card was free with my phone and this phone never hanged.
Dude writing bad things using different pc with different name not gonna help you.
If you are really using this phone that means you are unlucky to have 1 faulty unit in a billion of excellent units or you dont know how to use the phone. From my opinion you are a Fan boy of some other mobile company.
For me this phone works great and I am totally satisfied.

ALSO, from the moment I began using the phone I noticed it slowing down more and more!
It now regularly blacks out on me then restarts.
Uusually this happens 2-3times a day, with the worst ive ever experienced being 4times within 10minutes!!!!! :( :(
I do not beleive tis phone can handle the 8GB memory card it has...mine was filled with just 2GB and the phone slowed down MASSIVELY.
Now it has 6GB filled and it takes AAAAGES to do what I used to do easily before. :(

The features of this phone are AMAZING!!
LOVE the way this phone works.
It has ONE MAJOR FAULT THOUGH!!!!
It has a lot of technical faults!
2weeks after buying mine, the slider jammed. A few days later I found out why - a screw (from god knows where) had come out and stopped the slider. The screw came out itself and ive got it upstairs for incase i can work out where it came from. (i know 3peoople with this phone, all 3 also had the exact same problem!!
Aanother problem was the slider itself, it is wobbling and no longer slides so easily (note this problem began 1month after buying the phone).
Another problem (month no.3 right now), the most annoying, the charging port messed up so the phone would NOT charge at all.
I managed to get by by connecting it to the computer and charging it, but this too failed when the computer began to fail to recognise the phone!
After this, my headphones wouldnt work!
(note all 3 (the charger, the computer, the headphones) connect through the same port).
I had to get by by charging the battery through a different phone.
I have now sent back the phone to be repaired.
Considering I have to keep this phone for 24months, I dont think having problems in the first 2weeks and having to send it in for repair after just 90days is a very good start.
These faults have let down this phone otherwise it sure would have been one of the greatest phones around!

Anyone there having wobbling problem? I bought brand new black W995 20 days ago...the slider started wobbling. It is increasing day by day.The left of the slider in the lower part has raised a bit..now it is moving like a sea-saw...
Anyone there with the same problem...should i go to the service centre?

Had this phone for approx 6 months now, had to have it changed 5 days after i got it, due to software faults, lost signal. 2 months after recieving the new one, same thing again, sent for repair, same problems including unable to charge detected. Fixed and returned 4 weeks later and within 1 month, the same thing happened again!!! Sent for repair again, and now await the outcome!! Anyone experienced similar faults, most annoying.

-to transfer files you have to choose after connect transfer mode not phone mode
(both are tested on w850i) i think it's same
