Bro if u want a gud fone in this range than go for nokia 5800 its just for 13500 more oves schinizer handsets r also coming with them...
Secondly go for w705 its for 14000 rs da fone is very gud but external speakes sound is very low.
But keep in mind dese phones are nice but not as gud as w995...
N the phones which u hav mentioned are gud for nuthing...as fas as I think...bt I think 5800 is the best choice..

I dun think so the quality will change as da camera sensor and the lens is the same in 5mp and 8 mp..so no change will be there.. .n ya dont think that there is high purple fringing ...it cant be seen..when u full zoon on da image then also it is very slight... N yes its jus only on white things that to when we full zoom it... Its not noticible too..
Odawise this fone is da best in its class.. :)

Hi,
If we click pictures using W995 at "5 megapixel" resolution and "not the usual 8 megapixel", will we obtain a better image quality in terms of image details and will the purple fringing reduce too?? Any help in this regard will be highly appreciated.

but my pc suite was of older verison, & my firmware is undated with new, after one hour of post, i updated my pc suite to 6.0 & the contact trf. smoothly in single click.
So i suggest with firmware update plz update ur pc suite also.

we bought this phone couple days ago but i don't know why that device troubles. i mean it goes hang in every 10 minutes i don't know why......?

@ new owner of w995... bro i think u shud go to service center ...its not at ol a serious issue..jus go dere n they ll return ur cell 15 mins m sure..no need to worry n ya jus google sony ericsson service center number n they ll tell u nearest service center to ur place...
@ audi...yes bro it will be counted as an mms...

U do 1 thing jus transfer those contacts in another sony cell and then transfer it to ur monsterous w995....

I had purchase w995 2 days ago & i trf. my contacts from windows address book,
but today i had updated my firmware to R1GA026 at that time all my contact were deleted.
know i tried to trf. my contacts from address book, but it was not,
a massage come that "an error has occured and the synchronisation was cancelled. Run the Synch. again to correct any errors."
So any one plz help me to trf my contract to w995. i shifted from 5800 xp to w995. i m very satisfied with w995.
but after updation i unable to trf. contact so plz help.

One more thing, can we send the animations only through MMS now?? In earlier SE phones, we could add animations and emoticons to the SMS itself.. But i read somewhere that in W995, we can send animations and emoticons only through MMS.. Is that correct??

i just updated the phone and the software version now is R1GA026
the thing i mentioned in previous message is still there and this is not dependent on the them , i changed the theme and the wallpaper, it still exists.
i will try to explain again.
when press shortcut key the grey or white frame around the activity menu is flickering between white and grey colour when you navigate between these menus left and right.and this also happens after you exit the activity menu the grey or white frame slowly disappears.
just want to know whether does your phone and every W 995 phone has that same thing or not?

@vishu... Yes dude this is da best phone i hav eva cum accross ma life.. Man u ll be surprised to listen to its music...Its sterio speakes r very responsive u ll feel da sound goin frm 1 speaker to other ...Which is not dere in n86 and n97..Web browsing is flawless..I almost do ol da posting in gsmarena frm my w995...Flash is way bright..N ya u ll get PORTABLE SPEAKERs which r no less than woffer system.. dude u ll not regret..
