Nokia gets lots of firmware updates due ... moreYou have no idea what your talking about. have you not noticed that sony ericsson has dropped to fifth place due to consumers and retailers complaining of high returns of phones. even sonyericsson themselves admitted the problems. nokia or any phone manufacturer they all have software problems no manufacturer is immune to that.

Other than that, I am loving the phone. I had a w890i before and it was so terrible I didnt think I could give SE another chance, but i'm glad I did. It was a toss up for between this and the N86, but as the most important thing to me is how the phone works as a dedicated mp3 player, I went with the W995, however I dont know how the two compare ive not properley tried an N86. Audio quality is fantastic, screen is very bright and sharp, and seems quite large to me, but perhaps I wasj ust used to small phones.
The N86 looks slightly better to me cosmetically but oh well. Camera is great, but it's not quite as good as my gf's Samsung Pixon 8mp for some reason, and the video quality is average at best.
I would only really suggest this phone if you use your phone as a dedicated mp3 player, because there must be slightly better options for camera.
Web surfing on the phone is ok, but nothing great.
Overall im very happy.

The colour is not as rich as 16 million colour Nokias for example - but very nice. The only time the pixels might look seperated is when the phone starts up with the SE logo else unnoticeable. Why don't you wait for Aino?

I have been usin my Nokia 5700xm for more than 1 year n now im used to the 16M colur screen n when I luk at a 256k colour t seems lyk pixels r separatd into small squares.. (actly I checkd it wit SE 510i n Nokia 3110c) I wanna know wetha it wud be a problem for me when Im using this 4n?? I realy love this 4n bt it wud b greatr if it had 16M colourz..:(
If the colurs z a problem can ny1 sugest me a gud 4n to buy? (im a big N series fan..bt I love S.E n Samsung too)
All I want z a 4n wit gud Audio quality,camera+flash n video light..n ofcourse gud Colourz n screen size(2.6+)..lol

Yes there is complete software failures and faulty batches. Id know i work in a phone store and ive ELF'd my w995 3 times due to buggy software, usually happens in initial batches of phones. Its a good phone once software is updated however. i would've swapped model;s otherwise. but dont spin BS man, no phone or company is bulletproof...

I just got this phone yesterday, i think its pritty great. going from the nokia N95 8gb to this is a litle strange, but its a really good phone. i work in telecomunications in australia and use my phone alot. camera is good. its fast and looks good. its shiny. =D
