i want to disable it!! meaning never use it or see any conversation/thread kinda msgs...
regular inbox messages style works great for me

guess its u... morenot my first!
am a loyal SE user...in my other mobiles there is a "List Option" opition which enables u to hide/show msgs details or to even show date and time instead of the msg content...however, in this phone that option is not available!
they should have thought of adding more options not dropping existing ones...
moreofer, when i tried to delete a conversation, all that contacts saved messages where also deleted :'(!!!! this alsmot brought me into tears :'(
am seriously thinking of selling my w995 because of this....any buyer out there (red/silver) semi-new only battery is charged ... i didnt even removed the films!!!

Like all highbranded stuff,sony ericsson managed to rn themselves as a highprofile branded stuff,unlike Nokia which loss their identity recently. Now SE is growing up look at Satio,Rachaeland Aino which can connect toPS3.Even WinMoTG01 unable connect to Xbox.So SE Research for their Technology,is worth to be expensives.So dont fume about SE high Pricez.Theyworth every penny.

The 3G phones has algorithm which dynamically (If your phone Network mode is set to Automatic) selects the best network i.e. 2G,3G or 2.5G depending upon the network the phone is currently in.One of the advantages of this is, incase you are in a poor 3G coverage or no 3G coverage the phone selects the next best coverage.
Depending on what network mode the phone is in, the Voice Quality and the Data rates for internet changes.

To change it, it should be the 2nd tab from the top (under Write New) and just move it to the left to make it in Inbox mode
Is that what you are looking for?

I think that's what you are trying to do?

Thanks JaCob but that still does not help me understand what it is. Its not my first ericsson but its the first time ive had this concern. I guess I will just wait for the experts in Sony to reply to my e-mail.

Need some help please !
Is the e-mail funtion and Google maps,gps,etc... only available through wap and not wifi ?
While connected to wi-fi at home and work I haven't been able to access e-mail and maps.Keeps telling me to choose connection type p.e.s. or c.e.s.,no option for wi-fi,tells me no internet connection,but I am connected as I can surf through the browser.
Any ideas ?

but it still shows the details in the shortcut menu and the message menu
i dont want the details to show in the event tap nor i want it to appear in the inbox?
1 more thing, how can i disable the conversation? it is irritating!!!!!

For a high end phone, SE was cheap to pick their name on phone front as a sticker instead of imprinting it on the metal!
Not much remaining except for 5 letters.
Finally bought a case which should preserve the rest from peeling away!
