love my w995 ..jz got it for 1 week .. nice display n design.. nice finishing too.. very fast wifi n bluetooth.. no lag at all.. the slider is pretty solid (maybe cos mine still new) one downside is the camera... im expecting it to be a bit better considering is 8.1 mp ..

I know we have no operation system on w995, but still can we run Skype in some way?
It's pitty if not, coz of excellent Wi-Fi on board.

try to hang on 3 more weeks cause here in uk at start of every month all new mags come out,,ie 1st of month,,and their is usually price drop..I got mine pay as you for 329 GBP plus 10 top up..I am really excited about this w995 its not easy coming from smartfones but hell fire this is just as feature packed..

greekisland, 09 Jul 2009To anonymous : I agree that the omnia hd is a great handse... moreyeah the downside of oled screens is that it turns into a mirror in direct sunlight. Sony Ericsson sunlight legibilty is always good.

This may the THE LAST W series SE phone so enjoy it as SE is trying to merge the Walkman phones and Cybershot phones!
They did a "decent" job with the W995 but the camera have been better. The pictures aren't terrific but it's OK! Just do NOT depend on it for "precious" moment shots!
Also, when using the zoom or taking night shots, the pictures are NOT that good!
Stick with a dedicated camera or at least a camera phone!
Otherwise, it's not bad! Just remember that this is a WALKMAN phone for music, hence the W series!!
Remember that and you won't be disappointed that much when using the phone's camera!

The 8MG pix camera isn't that bad but the older P1i's was MUCH better with a lower mg pix camera!
SE did not give enough of the Cybershot camera specs into the W995 as it should have! Instead, SE focused more on the Media player (HENCE, the W as in WALKMAN in the W995)!!
If you want a camera, buy a camera!
If you want a camera in a phone, buy a camera phone!
W series is meant for Media such as MUSIC!!

Get used to be ripped off by SE!
Otherwise, either pay the high price as many people do or wait a couple of months and let the prices DROP! By then, it'll still be relatively high but more affordable AND hopefully most software kinks would have been "fixed"!

MediaGo FAQ already states that Divx/Xvid encoding may NOT be supported.
SE W995 Users Guide states to use Mpeg4 encoding!
