And to all the cry babies..i'm not fussing about the FM Transmitter but rather about conflicting information on the phone.
That it has an FM Transmitter is FALSE! If it has, do provide the proof! But you'll never be able to as it doesn't exist!!

there is a fm transmitter if you check the specs on sonyericsson.com just wasn't mentioned on there spec list on this site

is the A200 interface on this phone fast? Is it faster than W980's speed of the interface? Can you give me an indication whether it improved or not in terms of speed.

It's a walkman phone, with 8gb memory, designed to put your own music on, not listen to the garbage they dictate to us on the radio!!!
I'll be getting this phone no doubt, as I need an improvement on my K850i

if the s001 was released in europe and not only in japan....
ill so get it, screw this w995.
even if it does have a 2.6 inch screen (the biggest for a SE feature phone)
its still pretty small, despite its Specs.
oh how i wish, how i wish i can get the s001.

And the gsmarena ... morese_inside..I think you've got my hopes up for nothing...for, please take note, "FM Transmitter = Yes" is now REMOVED, yes REMOVED, from www.phonearena.com, so there's no web site, official or not, which states that the W995 has an FM Transmitter!
I just hope that SE might surprise me when the units finally hit the retail store :)
Question: Am I being too optimistic? Has SE done something like this in the past, i.e., added a feature to a phone in a retail unit which was not specified when the phone was announced? I am not referring to improvements to existing features but rather additional features.

Navi, 07 Apr 2009I can't agree less, i think the only SE phone in europe (n... moreEver since day 1 europe especially uk where i am never gets fones like japan,,the nearst we got was sharp 903 and toshiba 921 released on voda only here in uk..Their have been numerous attempts in the sharp forums to get them super fones to uk but with little success with 903 they dont bother,,sharps answer was they have a decent market in japan etc and as europeans will not pay high prices for fones they do not bother with europe..What about foma mobiles and casio as well with some out of this world devices,,jealous i am but years ago i learnt that the only way would be to move to japan..
