Yes, some people prefer touchscreen and others the keypad.
I do not type a´lot - I prefer touchscreen.
I need screen size for look, and for activity:
appointments
info
doc view
picture/video
etc.
I think most people agree with me after they tried a phone 3-4˝ screen.
Or have a small screen 2.2-2.6 but very compact less than 10mm thick.

I have nothing against Se - as soon as SE makes a good phone I get it and keep it. We have SE phone right now (older model ) and works fine.
(the battery lousy but...)
But, recent Se models just lousy.
Se pricing is also outrages. It would not bother me, since I can get phones free but I do not like the arrogance of SE.
Se loses money each quarter and still not customer oriented.
New models take for ever to release.
unable to make its flagship model - X1 (HTC) made and after the fiasco no apologies, except Se promises that X2 will not be made by HTC.
Best MP3 palyer?

Tech data on SE phones hard to find - THD etc.
I use the best earplugs (Shure) and I get much better quality than any SE phone. (subjective)
W995 has nothing special to offer. SE keeps releasing the same phones over and over again.
2.6˝screen is small for this size of phone!!!!

because I let others know once in a while about the values - several SE staff monitor these forums.
SE SAR values are available even for the SE models but not easy to find.
Actually, I have looked and for this model it is not available - why?

This phone hasnt been released in South Africa yet but the second it is Im getting it! I cant wait.I have a SE W850i and Im definitley staying with SE.

Hope to upgrade to this from w910i but hope its better in build and software quality,,the w910i has been a nightmare but not going into why its been bad its been discussed to death..
Also hope video quality is smooth and non juddery thats all i ask cause wqvga will do for me..S/E must market this fone at a fair price,,then it will go mass market which it deserves..

I can't understand people complaining about SE's design; if you guys compare SE's handset to other manufacturer, SE still have the best looking handset and every button has a logical function. Honestly i can't really think of any other shape for a handset that fits perfectly on human hands. can anyone give me a design that looks better than SE?

if you want an EXCELLENT MUSIC PLAYER, then this phone is perfect for you.
no other music phones can compete with the music experience that sony can bring.
this phone just has it!

It's so funny..
Like I check these sites for work, and then I see comments from people who are just like phone groupies or something. =']
Like, get over it.. The phone hasn't released yet. But when it does I'm buying it. Why? Because it had great specifications. I own a W595 and a Xperia at the moment. I've always been a sony user and I will stick to that because it's what I know.
But that doesn't mean that Nokia or Samsung are bad. Because I know enough people who own a Samsung or a Nokia.. And they are happy with it. So everyone has it's own taste.
Why bitching on eachother about which phone is better?

It is what makes the style of SE. Man, if SE designer is like samsung or LG or nokia, then SE is finished.

in my opinion w995 is a great and superb machine!!(in a small "box"!)
i´m just worried about the SAR!
SE is known to have too much SAR radiation, compared with samsung or LG.
a SAR level between 0,4 - 0,6 is the ideal!
usually SE phones are near 1,0 and it is too much and dangerous, in my opinion!
someone has some info about this??

hey guys!
i think there people that just want a phone with the latest features just to show off (and feel themselves on the top of cellphone fashion), but never use all the phone potencial (but it will be nice to show it to their friends!), and there people who just want a normal and complete phone with all the specs they will really use a lot everyday!!
i think this w995 is one of this kind of phones!a complete and usefull phone, without any "fashion" propose!
the touchscreen phones are getting too big, in my opinion!OS phones are "almost" a laptop, but without any laptop potencial!so...what are they?a overpriced phone trying to be a laptop that we will never use as a real laptop!
and...why do we need handwriting recognition??to make any art painting??LOOL
at least, w995 has a real and tipical phone look, with a keypad we can trust.we dn´t need a touch screen, or better video.
a cellphone is not a real handycam, or a real laptop or a real video projector!
if some people wants to be on the top of fashion, just keep buying the iphone! it sucks, but it´s "nice" and fashion to have one!!
