Yes, it is IP67 certified! SEMC has again confirmed Active to be IP67 certified. Also the design shows it with dual shells with rubber sealing. Really nice!

This is a gud phone overall but inspite of having 1 gb internal memory only 320 mb is usuable by user where as the xperia mini pro and mini also give users the same. the mini and mini pro have secondary camera and hd video recording which is way better than the active's plus the mini pro has an additional qwerty keypad. it has 1gigahz processor nd no specific GPU but mini and mini pro have 1 gigahz scorpion processor and 205 GPU. so instead of going for active go for mini or mini pro. they r much sexier also.

AnonD-11757, 16 Sep 2011specwise, the defy is better at internal memory, battery an... more...and do not forget, out of all those outdoor activities mentioned, you're gonna run out of battery probably half of the day in the middle of the woods without any socket to recharge because it's ANDROID!

However it is hard to believe that seperating may be on the cards especially with SE churning out so many smartphones nowadays as never before in the decade. As things seem today, they won't seperate but grow on the Android platform :-)

Can you dip this phone in water like the Motorola Defy? I'm confused which of the two I would buy, now that they almost have the same price.
