If it is a computer screen, you can increase the refresh rate and that will make the black bars a little bit faded but it won't really go away. And like I said, I do not know anything more than this regarding the black bars. And regarding uninstalling the Whatsapp updates: From the standby screen, press the right most button on the bottom(the menu button). Then choose settings>applications>manage applications>scroll down to whatsapp>choose whatapp>choose uninstall unpdates. After uninstalling, it will automatially sometime later whenever it feels like. But I never had the restarting problem after that...

YEAH..I just updated my phone to the latest 2.3.3 software and its a bang man...The touch response is even more better when scrolling down when browsing something,Facebook like and comment tabs are good,Video recording has been improved even more better and the wifi is damn FAST...I think now Sony ericsson has improved a lot...Thanks..Enjoying my phone now

Before buying this mob.. i would like to inquire whether this phone has dual camera or not..??? I knw itz written that it has secondary camera here.. but few other website deny... pls help..!

Dude even samsung is made in asia too....
Sgs2 has one of the worst design among present smartphone market. Arc is splendid in every form.. Se is intelligent enough to make a single core now coz there are no softwares for dual core..
When there are software for the dual core u'll see how se will come up with a sexy looking phone which beats the a## of sgs2.. Go with the time dude.. Don't mess up with time.. Arc is an outstanding piece of technology.. Stop posting silly things..

im using ARC for a month and i could tell this is the BEST smartphone that i've ever had, my friend got samsung galaxy 2 and when we compared those 2 phones my friends were so envious with me.. ARC ROCKS...

[deleted post]hey nick please dont be fool.... im not one I know exactly what Im gonna buy, you keep saying that the x10 is outdated and old let me tell you that is th best phone i have use fast, reliable great screen for videos and web browsing, I readed one by one your posts bashing here and Im kind of tired, but I respect that you got paid by samsung its your work and you make a big effort here everyday, I think you are smart and inteligent maybe you got an xperia arc for posting fast here, dual core is outdated btw cause no programs yet for that processor. happy posting mate

what is the difference between x10 and arc?
the display has been slightly improved and the sound become better
is that deserve to be next generation phone?

[deleted post]nick your same old story is getting old , people develop what they want , sony ericsson develops a single core because is there decision they make , they make great phone with awesome features and games , there not perfect , sony ericsson is a small company who keeps there customers happy and customers continue to purchase there products because the customer enjoys there product , like i said before in my last post your product knowledge and some of the stuff you say doesnt make you seem intelligent , you are like a bug and are becoming a bit of annoyance, ok you have a dual core processor thats great for you , nobody cares really , this a spot to comment on the product not about your duel processor , you should quit bashing products because you personally dont use one , there are plenty of people that are happy with these products , go talk to your duel core buddies they might actually care about what your saying , because nobody cares about it here you have chosen the wrong spot to preach in because nobody cares

Right you cannot see the displays on your laptop buy looking at you tube.These 2 displays are better than that.I have seen the Arc playing video in store and its pretty damn good.I have only seen sgs screen because ia had it.
The trouble is you start playing video on these 2 phones and when you come back to normal screens there is slight disappointment.
I treat my smartphone as everything so you are best seeing what you use your smartphone for,,just because its got top spec you maybe wasting your money if you only use it for texting..
I would say if your into playing back video the Arc has a fantastic display but not as good colours as sgs but Arc is sharper.
